• After Cay gets his arm cut off on Onderon, the first thing he does is detach one from a nearby droid to replace it—which earns a scolding from Ulic because this is no time to be tinkering!
• When Arca arrives to bail out his apprentices, he asks if Cay is cutting parts of himself off so he can become one with the Force. Cay sheepishly holds up the new prosthetic to reassure him.
• Arca gravely admonishes Ulic for failing to realize that the Dark Side was at the heart of Onderon's troubles and not using Battle Meditation to bring the war to a swift close. Ulic points out that Arca never taught them anything about that, and Arca's reply is basically "yeah that's fair."
• Ulic Qel-Droma is captured on trial, so what does Exar Kun do? Barge into his trial, paralyze the Senate, mind-control the Supreme Chancellor into giving a pro-Sith speech, murder his old master, then walk out, Ulic in tow.
  • A former student of his tries to attack him. He sends her flying across the room.
• Vima making jokes to Ulic about starting another intergalactic war if she annoys him too much is shocking, but then she Crosses the Line Twice by nailing him right in the face with a snowball. The audacity is enough that he actually grins and playfully gives chase
