Many of the Naytibas that EVE encounters resemble heavily mutated humans, unable to do much more than crawl or lumber towards her, snarling and screeching. There's a good reason for this.
The Hives, which best resemble the grotesque flesh monstrosities from Resident Evil 2 (Remake), stretching their bodies all over the walls and spewing out smaller Naytibas that promptly burst the second they get near EVE.
The Maelstrom is a horrific Body of Bodies that essentially combines all the worst aspects of the specimens that EVE encounters down in the lab - quite literally as a matter of fact. It's composed of dozens of shrieking grey and red menaces all reaching towards her with mutated clawed arms, but the main head is the one to watch out for, opening wide and unleashing a giant laser down the center of the room without warning.
One of the most bloody and horrific executions in the game can happen to EVE herself during a setpiece where she slides down the working spaces of a cargo elevator. Getting caught in the working gears there will result in her being shredded in great sprays of blood as Adam cries out in horror. It's over in two seconds but during an Escape Sequence that otherwise eschews blood and the general application of Beauty Is Never Tarnished where EVE is concerned the shocking level of violence comes out of nowhere.
