All spoilers unmarked!

  • Monster Ock, which is basically what happens when Doc Ock gets Carnage's symbiote. There's no way to defeat him: all you can do is run, and pray he won't catch you, all while he makes noises that sound like a monster being strangled. Look up videos of him on YouTube, and many of the comments will be similar to: "This scared me to death as a kid!"
    • One of his growls end in an inhuman "DIIIEEEE!!!" that sounds not too dissimilar to how the alien says it in Independence Day. He even says it in Doc Ock's normal voice! About halfway through the chase, Doc Ock's human voice returns to also simply say, "IT'S... NOT... OVER... YET!!!!" - which he can also repeat in his regular, demonic voice.
    • The sequence takes place in a vent, meaning that you may get stuck to walls running from him and wind up seeing the meter that shows how close he is to you shoot up fast. Try NOT to feel your heart rate spike.
  • How about Carnage himself? With his over the top Evil Laughter and Large Ham tendencies, Dee Bradley Baker implements a rather unsettling voiceover for the character, one that frightened many children when they first played the game. Him shrieking "DIIIE, DIIIE, DIIIIIIE!" when he attacks, or "The pain, the paaaain!" every time you pull him into the sonic emitter area...
  • The fight with Venom can lean on this and the Paranoia Fuel side. Unlike other Spider-Man villains in the game, he has no gimmick or weakness to exploit (i.e. like Mysterio's obvious weak points in his boss battle) and is constantly on the hunt for you. The freaky aspect is that he can render himself invisible. And, if one isn't paying attention, the damn bastard can outright enclose you and almost slaughter you in the bout.
  • While he is a helpful secret in the game itself, the Lizard is off-putting, what with his frightening model and how the usually bombastic Stan Lee sounds deeply ominous when describing him in the character viewer...
The Lizard. Product of a twisted experiment...gone wrong.
