You'd think a story about a boy who can turn into a magical superman who fights against evil would be a fun and friendly one. You'd be very wrong and very surprised.- Mr. Mind. Though he may look like a small and unassuming cartoony caterpillar, he's one of the few Captain Marvel villains who isn't Played for Laughs Post or Pre-Crisis. Reimagined as a more realistic looking caterpillar, Mind's telepathic powers were made far more potent, making him one of the most powerful psychics in the DCU. He tried to pave the way for his species to invade Earth, and following his first defeat by the Marvel Family, he hijacked Sarge Steel's mind via Orifice Invasion and triggered a nuclear holocaust, destroying Mary Marvel's hometown of Fairfield in the process. Even back in the Lighter and Softer Silver Age, he was a mass murderer with a body count of 186,744 people at the time of the issue in which he was put on trial. Since then, he's only gotten worse. In 52, he ups the ante by undergoing his metamorphosis into the Hyperfly; an Animalistic Abomination that eats universes, time and space and which was responsible for reshaping The Multiverse into the 52 multiverse as a side effect of his presence before Booster Gold, Supernova and Rip Hunter manage to reverse his transformation. Even worse is due to his strange alien biology, Mr. Mind will always find a way to survive and cause untold death and chaos again.
- Black Adam is one in-verse. He's everything Billy would be if he decided to use his powers to lord over humanity and has no problem being the living embodiment of Beware the Superman. He also took over his home country, installed a dictatorship, and even kickstarted World War III on his own when his homeland was destroyed, to the point nearly one could stop him.
- Not to mention his methods of killing others often invoke Ludicrous Gibs with bodies being crushed into paste and Adam having a fondness for ripping off faces or pushing a person's mask through the back of their skulls via Eye Scream.
- After Adam initially loses his powers, he travels to the frozen Himalayas, where he eats the corpse of his last remaining henchman after running out of food.
- Dr. Sivana may come off as an annoying ugly little old man and Mad Scientist archetype, but he’s nothing if still not a dangerous criminal willing to murder children or anyone else who offends him. He’s indirectly responsible for the death of Billy Batson’s parents. He also once managed to discover Captain Marvel's identity as Billy. With his newfound information he instantly decided to hire mercenaries to kill Billy in his normal form and succeeded in killing one of Billy’s child friends.
- He’s also personally responsible for the creation of Sobek, the Horseman of Famine who would go on to kill Osiris and start the events that would lead to Black Adam starting WWIII. He also had carried out various experiments on Mr.Mind using his "Suspendium” experiments, allowing Mr Mind to transform into his Hyperfly form, effectively making Sivana indirectly responsible for the events of “52” as well.
