As is the norm with most Five Nights at Freddy's fangames, there's plenty of things to be afraid of. And POPGOES is anything but an exception...

    POPGOES
  • Stone the Crow is pretty much the embodiment of Paranoia Fuel. Unlike every other animatronic, he is just a statue stationed right outside the window. But if the player lets their panic meter rise up, he manifests as a hallucination in the camera feed that can cause more panic and can eventually, if the panic meter maxes out, leap through the window at the player. So long as you keep looking outside to keep the meter in check he'll remain a statue... At least, early on. Later nights will have Stone suddenly stare back at the player with red eyes if they look outside, further inducing panic.
  • Pretty much anything about Blackrabbit. She's basically Shadow Bonnie dialed up to eleven. During the night, Popgoes the Weasel will walk around the pizzeria, printing off Blackrabbit's parts with the 3D printers scattered throughout, before returning to the diner to place them on the table right behind you. If all six parts have been assembled before 6 AM, well...
  • SIMON, full stop.
    • His design in general is very unsettling, being a purple-colored robotic skeleton. It feels very out-of-place, especially considering all of the other animatronics are animals.
    • He's also the only character in POPGOES to have voice acting, and his voice sounds... very off, being a glitchy whisper in a Machine Monotone.
  • The Grave Ending. Should you obey Simon's commands and make it past the sixth night, a cutscene will play. Simon will break out of Fritz's office, walk toward Strings and then rapidly flash his eyes different colors, causing Strings to undergo a panic attack and shut down. It's very unnerving throughout the whole sequence.
    • The real kicker? This ending is canon to the 2016 plotline.
    • The minigame before the ending cutscene kicks it up a notch with Fridge Horror, too. In most of the Grave Ending minigames, once you approach the Toys, the wires holding them break apart and their parts fall onto the ground. On the Sixth Night? There's a man held by the wires. It's heavily implied that person is Fritz, and you're in control of Blackrabbit. Put two and two together, and...
  • When you complete the main game, you can access the Extra menu, on the Scrapped Content section, there is a grey button that doesn't have a name. Click on it and it shows you a creepy Nightmare Face that also makes the music stop.

    POPGOES Arcade

POPGOES Arcade (2020)

  • King Freddy's motivation behind the plot of the game is pretty disturbing, having a twisted view of death being a beneficial way to "live".
  • The Blackrabbit Route is this in its entirety. To access it, you'll have to find a secret fourth key, which can be accessed via a fake wall inside of the castle. When you have it, if you return and click on the birdbath, the screen will glitch out and get darker, and the fountain's water will now be blood-colored. While unsettling on its own, the cherry-on-top is that the objective text changes to "DIRECTIVE".
    • There's an Easter Egg in the Corrupt Bonnie refight for this route: Should you attack Bonnie even once, the game will suddenly crash, followed by the hand of Blackrabbit crashing through the screen. Blackrabbit peering out of the cabinet is the last thing seen before the game resets.
