"...come in."

  • The first death of the movie when the U.S. Ambassador of Great Britain is spellbound to kill himself so that Damien can take his place. Without hesitation, he goes back to his office and ties a doorknob and a gun together with film so that it fires once somebody opens the door. The picture above speaks for itself.
  • The ironing scene. The fact that we don't actually see Dean's child getting ironed to death really doesn't help.
    • Just before that scene, Dean's wife is bewitched by one of Damien's followers to see her own baby as a charred, eyeless corpse. Against her own will, she's compelled to kill him.
  • Damien's ominous last words. Since Omen IV can be pretty much considered non canon, it's left to the viewers imagination what he meant.
Damien: Nazarene... you have won nothing.
  • The slaughter of the babies. Even factoring out the inherent fear of it all, the fact that none of the death scenes show even a glimpse of the children makes them more chilling. They are also framed as common, every-day occurrences rather than adding atmospheric music, which increases tension tenfold giving the idea something so terrible could happen at any given moment, without warning... Particularly the one with the boy-scout stand-ins; it only shows two young boys at someone's doorstep, cheerfully stating they come to do the "Good deed of the day!" and the scene cuts out, leaving the viewer to infer the rest.
