As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy.

  • In the flashback to the end of WWII, a Nazi AA gun gets bombed by an Allied plane, but is still functional and starts shooting out of control at the Nazi plunder train, killing several Nazis as the train goes around a bend. And the gun is on fire with a burnt corpse still stuck to it.
  • The murders of Indy's colleagues at the start of the film, for the sheer pointlessness and relative grounded brutality of it compared to any deaths in past films, happening to innocent people for simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Even Indy is clearly affected by it.
  • When Indy is inspecting a sunken ship, an already creepy looking skeleton becomes terrifying when a swarm of eels suddenly emerge from it and attack him.
  • While it is an awesome moment for Teddy, drowning while handcuffed underwater is still a nasty way to go, as Hauke can attest.
  • Out of all the villainous schemes in the franchise, Voller’s may just be the most horrific when it comes to sheer scale. Using the Antikythera’s ability to pinpoint rifts in time, he intends to travel back to 1939, replace Hitler as the Führer, and help Nazi Germany win World War II. That’s right: while other villains were content with the world, Voller essentially threatens history itself.
  • Voller also shows actual adherence to Nazi rhetoric and ideology, something not typically shown in pulpy adventure series like Indy, where the main villains were typically allied to the Nazis out of convenience; here, Voller openly confronts an African-American former soldier, coldly querying 'where they came from' and asking if they are 'enjoying their victory'. His subordinates - some seemingly too young to have been involved in the war - also have no issues in donning the old uniform when it comes time to travel back to 1939.
  • The final fate of Voller. After his plane crashes and burns, his body is shown to be burnt to a crisp. The sight of it isn't pretty.
