  • The Fire Mountain chapter begins in line with the lighthearted tone the game has been establishing thus far: Sam calls you to the tower in order to look at the constellation of a dragon. He and you then go to sleep and, without any previous warning, you wake up to see the forest covered in a Red Filter of Doom and hear a ominous choir that never seems to end, and a large creepy-looking dragon suddenly flies next to you. But that's not all.
    • After seeing the dragon, you turn around to see a weasel locked in a cage. He cheers thinking the dragon will save everyone. However, he then starts crying, realizing the large creature is too old to be of any help. Even after he tells you to join the dragon, he keeps on crying. That poor thing…
    • If you look for Daddyoak and The Little One (i.e. the birch), you’ll find them both as unresponsive trees with white Monochromatic Eyes. In other words, you, an unexperienced kid mind you, are alone in this mission.
    • As you walk through the forest, you can see various petrified animals that have their souls slowly floating from their bodies. Not only that, but the souls appear accompanied by a very creepy sound.
    • At some point, you’ll witness a sudden explosion of white light as you walk. Despite a good wizard appearing and stopping it, the moment can be shocking due to its unpredictability.
    • The sudden appearance of the dragon in the pond can be a bit shocking, so much so that it can even be considered a Jumpscare. Then, there’s this:
Dragon: Don’t you know the last hour has come?
      • If you think the line above wasn't enough, the dragon also tells you: “He (Morhurl, the evil wizard) dare to awaken the Fire Mountain, and it can explode at any moment, burying all the forest in our thunder of fire and ashes!”. God.
      • These two lines are from the game's second Difficulty Level. That isn't to say the Dragon's speech in the first difficulty level is less creepy, though. There, he mentions the forest's "Crystal Masters", who were in charge with bringing peace to Forestia via three magical crystals, have been decimated. Although he doesn't mention it, it's heavily implied Morhurl decimated them.
    • At a certain point, you’ll meet a black bird that, accompanied by the same creepy sound of the floating souls, quickly turns into some kind of monster. Talk about an actual Jump Scare.
      • The monster, which is Morhurl by the way, sends you next to the volcano itself. Sam appears in front of you and…
Sam: Oh no, shouldn’t have done this! (Gets blasted by thunder and ends up looking calcined) Oh no, (with a distorted voice) SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE THIS!
      • Even after seeing Sam suffer, the lava from the volcano makes sounds that anticipate an imminent eruption. That, and black smoke can be seen over it. Better hurry up if you don't want Forestia to succumb to Morhurl.
    • When you get to Morhurl’s tower, he comes out, stares uncomfortably at you for a few seconds and then turns into the same black bird with which he pulled a Jump Scare on you.
    • When you enter the tower, the first thing you see is a human skeleton hanging from some chains. Could it be that it belongs to someone that has previously dare challenge Morhurl?
      • It's also worth mentioning that said skeleton talks to you in a very deep voice that has signs of agony.
Skeleton: If all the crystals you put back in their place, better shall we be, for sure!
    • When activated, the wooden wheel on which the crystals are placed makes the same creepy sound of both the souls and Morhurl’s bird form. Definitely not a good sign.
    • If you don’t put the crystals correctly… oh, boy. The wheel makes the previously mentioned sound and the scene gets distorted. Then, after a sudden white flash, Morhurl appears (see image) and teases you for failing.
Morhurl: I see this is how you dare challenge me! I’m Morhurl, Master of the Great Mountain! But you have made a mistake, you should have listened to the Dragon of the Waters, but you failed to do so! YOU LITTLE BOASTER!! And it makes me stronger still! You lose this time, goodbye!
      • With that, Morhurl activates the volcano and lots of rocks start flying from it in all directions. All of a sudden, one of them flies towards you and destroys the tower, which causes some bricks to fly off your view area along with said rock. The screen cuts to black and you can only hear the rock hitting you and the forest getting destroyed, just as the Dragon has told you.
      • Oh, and by the way, Morhurl does the same Jumpscare he did previously and assumes his true form during his speech. That, and the screen does a close-up on his Glowing Eyes of Doom when he says “YOU LITTLE BOASTER!!”.
    • If you complete the level and save Forestia, you awaken from what seems to have been a nightmare, as Sam tells you you’ve been talking asleep about a dragon. He comforts you saying that dragons don’t exist. However, immediately after he leaves, the Dragon of the Waters flies near you… Your notes about the adventure you just had sum it up very well: "I freed Forestia from the grip of Morhurl, the terrible sorcerer! Or was that all just a bad dream… No it wasn’t, I do have a photo of the dragon…”.
  • At the beginning of the chapter "The Little Siren", Daddyoak and The Little One have swirling eyes and are unresponsive while a mysterious chant that doesn't seem to end is heard. To make things more unnerving, you can see that everyone in the forest has those same eyes while you look for the source of the chant.
  • What happens if an ant or a Scarabor catches you wearing the wrong costume during the chapter "The Queen of the ants' Secret Agent"? An ant pinches directly at you with its spear and you end up being transported to the prison, while a Scarabor straight up punches you and knocks you out for some seconds as its eyes turn red.
