Loose Relation between Wizard & Apprentice (Japanese: 魔法使い（♂）と弟子（♀）の不適切なカンケイ) is a manga by Yukio Konya. It started publication in 2009 and ended two years later.
Hard working, level 1 magician Konoha is apprenticed to lazy Knight Protector Saionji Ikumaru. They both work to keep the etherworld sealed away from their own but sometimes the seal doesn't work. Dragons, demons and now Ishtar, the goddess of Venus.
Will Ishtar help Konoha win her master's affections? Or will she take him for herself?

- Back from the Dead: Saionji was killed by Kazune, and brought back by the King of Immortality thanks to Ishtar.
- Bare-Fisted Monk: Konoha always claims that her Strengthening Magic is not that special, but it's strong enough to defeat a dragon.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: Saionji now, but he used to be the Magic Association's Chairman before he lost his magic. On the other hand, Kazune prefers to listen to music all day than work.
- Catchphrase: Momoka´s "That's the duty of a high ranking magican."
- Chaste Hero: Poor Konoha, her crush Saionji has nearly no sex drive because of the sin of gluttony, which eats it along with his magic.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Saionji looks like a slacker, but he's in fact very capable!
- Jerkass: Arumi. She barged into the house, assaulted (hit), offended, and accused every single resident with all the delicacy of a rampaging train. She is quite probably one of the most offensive and annoying characters in the manga.
- Our Demons Are Different: They are nothing but an intellect surrounded by magic power. Therefore Saionji's Anti-Magic skill is deadly for them!
- Too Dumb to Live: Arumi decided to intrude and spy on a high level Magic council because she deserved to have her curiosity satisfied. Also her reaction to demons, danger and magic in general. If she was in any other work she would be dead (or thoroughly beaten) in the first five minutes.
- Weirdness Censor: Averted when Arumi immediately reports Suwano Haruka to the police after seeing her standing atop a telephone pole.
