WE DON'T NEED MIKE. note
Considering that Deltarune VHS is an Analog Horror series based on Deltarune, it's not surprising that there's plenty of things to be afraid of.

  • The first video, "Kris, get the banana." starts off with a bang: Queen is portrayed with a Slasher Smile with realistic teeth and a demonic voice, then glitches out before she says "banana". It then cuts to the remains of someone, with blood on the floor and the victim being censored.
    "get it"
  • The second video, "SPAMTON" starts with the titular puppet coming out of his dumpster, asking Kris to make a deal while glitching out.
  • "SPAMTON NEO" starts with Spamton NEO approaching the screen, while repeating:
    • It then shifts to Susie, Kris and Ralsei, the formermost being disgusted by the eponymous character and the lattermost having a large hole in his face for a still unknown reason. After Spamton NEO asks the favor to be cut from his strings with a disturbingly realistic voice, Kris then proceeds to kill him, making the puppet land on the ground with his separate body parts censored as they start to bleed. The phrase "he's free now" then appears on the screen multiple times afterwards.
  • Like the original iteration, the creepiness from "SNOWGRAVE" comes as much from the Analog Horror used on the realism-induced one: it starts with Noelle with a worried look on her face with Berdly in her way. Kris then says "Snowgrave" before revealing a Nightmare Face. It then cuts to Berdly again as the screen blacks out, before cutting to a realistic bird skeleton as (who vaguely appears to be) Kris closes the closet, like if they were hiding a corpse. Berdly tries to assure himself by claiming "this is just a bad dream" and that he'll be fine when he wakes up. While the video itself is chilling, the implication that Berdly will die of paralysis, starvation and asphyxiation in the closet is the cherry on top.
  • While the ending of the video is Played for Laughs, the Nightmare Face Jevil makes in the titular video when he claims he can do anything is rather disturbing.
  • "KRIS" starts with the titular character ripping their SOUL out: it's even more disturbing than the original iteration as you can see their striped shirt and left hand covered in blood. Kris then declares that they know the viewer is there and that they will get out of here, before making a Nightmare Face before placing their hands on the screen to exit the video.
  • "BERDLY" starts with Berdly's face stuck to the mind control wire, which is then taken off, revealing that Berdly's face and eyes have been ripped off, before saying that he can't feel his face and arm.
  • While the "What happened to Kris" tape was funny, "KRIS 2" returns to the horror territory and takes the Analog Horror to its most known iteration: Toriel goes to the car to take the sugar she forgot in, only with a simple flashlight. When she finally finds her car, she hears a footstep and puts her flash on it. She sees a striped shirt teen with a red left hand and a knife, then turns on their face: Kris' face looks like Chara's melting one. Cue to Toriel running back to her door while the screen is cutting and shaking, but with no information if she succeeded or not.
  • "MAN BEHIND THE TREE" starts with Kris approaching the tree, where the man asks them to "come over here". He then gives them an egg and asks them to turn it over, revealing that it says "Can't run": at this moment, the video glitches before cutting to a Nightmare Face.
  • "TASQUE MANAGER" is Paranoia Fuel at its finest: after Kris answers one single question about the paintings correctly, the music stops abruptly, the screen fades to black, then cue to the titular character showing a horrifying smile and asking:
  • "RALSEI" starts with the gag where Susie stole Ralsei's glasses to call him a nerd, with Ralsei covering his face with his left arm. Ralsei asks Susie to give the glasses back, however after she declines, the music fades out and he then reveals empty scleras with blood around them. Susie obliges with a little "ok".
  • "SPAMTON'S CALL" starts with Spamton looking worried, wondering when he'll get a call. The phone rings, and Spamton picks up the phone, with a smile on his face. The video suddenly glitches out when he says "help", and the video background changes to black as reversed audio can be heard followed by what sounds like footsteps at the end.
    • Just before the video glitches, you can see something right beside Spamton sporting an absolutely menacing Slasher Smile. It's heavily implied that this is Gaster, who's made his first appearance in the series thus far, and he's absolutely terrifying.
      • However, it becomes less scary when you realise the audio heard at the end is just someone singing Never Gonna Give You Up played backwards.
  • "SANS" starts with Kris talking with Sans, however Sans suddenly gets blacked out with realistic eyes shortly after he starts speaking. After the screen black outs, it then changes to Sans from when you killed him in the No Mercy route as a creepy-sounding version of Flowey's laugh can be heard, before he suddenly changes back to normal, but with his infamous black eyes.
  • "HOSPITAL" takes place presumably after the events of "SNOWGRAVE". The video is mostly a black screen with a slowed-down version of "flashback_excerpt" and the following dialogue in yellow letters:
    a voice
    a terrifying voice
    a voice unlike kris's
    they've been acting strange lately
why do they keep going to the hospital?
    to see you.
    huh!?
kris how long have you been standing there?
you really scared me there... haha.
    wait...
    how are you wearing
    my watch?
    where did you...
    in your dream
    what are you...!?
(Cue a Smash Cut to Kris with a disturbing Nightmare Face which then gets slightly closer to the screen as it becomes more distorted.)
  • "SWATCHLING" follows a similar premise to "KRIS 2" with Kris' POV exploring the Queen's Palace in a dimly lit room. They then break a pot, causing a Swatchling to appear. After that a Jump Scare that leads to a Nightmare Face happens, ending with this statement:
you'll be just like the rest of us
  • "ROUXLES" starts with Rouxls Kaard sporting his signature wide smile, except here it's exaggerated into borderline Slasher Smile territory. He declares that he will win the fight after losing the house mini-game, but before he can do anything, the video suddenly glitches out, with Rouxls's body turning to stone, his facial features turning black save for a realistic left eye, and a string of binary (translating to “GOD DAMINIT”) being displayed below him. Cue a Smash to Black accompanied by a splashing noise. Afterwards, Rouxls's censored body with blood is shown, with the following Madness Mantra:
    • The video then ends with Ralsei, completely black with most of his features outlined in white, asking Kris to "smile for the camera".
  • "SPAMTON'S SHOP" starts off inside the titular location, with Spamton's dialogue about "friends" playing out. Early on in the video, he gets uncomfortably close to the camera when he says "Friend Request Accepted". The video then glitches out when he says "Mike", followed by a cut to darkness before revealing the smile found in the basement of Queen's mansion, but with wide eyes and an even bigger smile.
  • "PAPYRUS?" starts with Sans denying that he has a brother while his eyes are fully black, it then cue to Papyrus standing still while the camera goes to his face... except he doesn't have a skull anymore. Then the screen starts shaking while this sentence appears:
    "I REMEMBER YOU, FRISK"
  • "TEMMIE" starts with Temmie coming from under a table with a blank face and her egg which falls from above and naturally cracks. After three shades to black where the egg continues cracking slowly, it finally breaks. The next fade to black makes Temmie disappear, then she comes from the right with her normal face, then she closes her eyes, making a funny sound in the process. However, the second after, the screen glitches and Temmie's face is hidden, only for eyes coming out of it.
  • "WEREWIRE" has the titular Mook asking to be unplugged. Kris obliges, but this makes Werewire's head explode.
  • "NOELLE" is not only a terrifying video, but also a heartbreaking one: the deer girl remembers about the spelling bee contest, but when she has to spell "December" (which is spelt slower than the previous words), she freaks out on a flaming background. After that, the screen shows a torn "missing" picture in the dark, then Noelle is seen lying on the ground in a black room, eyes wide open, while the screen shows this sentence:
    "it's your fault"
  • "MALIUS" has the titular smith offering to "fix" an unseen character. After the Smash to Black, the said character is reduced to a blood puddle. Then Malius' head smashes the ground with a Slasher Smile.
  • "LANCER'S ROOM" features Kris walking into Lancer's room, where a cartoon splat sound effect plays as they step on the welcome mat. Seemingly curious, Kris very slowly liftts the mat off the floor, before the screen suddenly cuts to black. When it comes back, the source of the sound is revealed: a red pit containing a scrolling mass of realistic eyeballs, now emitting a hellish noise. Then, just as one of the topmost eyes looks directly at the screen, everything freezes and turns black-and-white, and new, even creepier audio plays until the video ends.
    • What makes this worse is that as of this moment, this is the last thing in the series.

this is all just a bad dream
i'll just wait for me to wake up
it will be just fine
it will be just fine
