"Wir sind keine Band — wir sind eine Verschwörung!"note
— "Du hast gehofft" ("You Were Hoping")

SDP (an abbreviation of StoneDeafProductions) is a German hip-hop/pop duo based in Berlin, consisting of Vincent Stein and Dag-Alexis Kopplin. They are known for high-energy music and irreverent lyrics, which often make heavy use of the Berlinerisch dialect.

They first formed in 1999 and released their first studio album in 2004. For live performances, their band normally consists of Raphael Seidel (bass), Phil Sunday (guitar), Thilo Brandt (drums), and Mad Maks (DJ).

Not to be confused with the SPD (Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands), a major German political party.

Tropes present in their bunte Musik include:

  • All Men Are Perverts: Their song "Wer ficken will muss freundlich sein" ("Those who want to fuck need to be friendly") accuses men of feigning affection to get sex out of women and then bailing.
Frauen täuschen nen Orgasmus vor, Männer, die Liebenote
Und wenn du sagst, das stimmt so nicht, dann kennst du noch nicht vielenote
  • Cover Version: Most notably of Extrabreit's song "Hurra, hurra, die Schule brennt" ("Hurrah, Hurrah, the School's on Fire"). It has more aggressive lyrics with modern slang, but it does feature references to the original version.
  • Disposing of a Body: Their song "'Ne Leiche" ("A Dead Body" or "A Corpse") is about finding a dead body in your basement and listing all kinds of strategies, both plausible and implausible, to get rid of it. Candidates include chopping it up and throwing a barbecue for all your friends, building a rocket and shooting it to the moon, and sending to Afghanistan or Iraq ("no one will notice, tons of people die there every day!").
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: Generally Turkish — often for the purpose of sounding "hood" (or the closest German equivalent). There's also some Gratuitous English, but it rarely exceeds the boundaries of anglicisms already accepted in German slang.
"Und wenn ich Türkisch könnte, würd ich sagen, 'çok güzel'!"note
  • Implausible Deniability: The song "Ich wars nicht" ("It Wasn't Me") advises the listener to respond to being caught red-handed at indiscretions large and small by simply saying "it wasn't me."
