This band contains examples of:
- Aerith and Bob: Christiane, Katrin... and Almuth?
- Anti-Love Song: If it's a song about love, it's either a sarcastic remark or an honest Tear Jerker about lost love.
- Demoted to Extra: Herman Herrmann was a main songwriter, performer, and arranger on the first two albums, but was only credited as "guest" on their latter two.
- Girl Group: Played with, the Singers don't fit into the beauty ideal of pop girl groups. They don't even stick to their choreography and improvise movements on stage.
- Grey Rain of Depression: Recurring lyrical motive.
- Hard-Drinking Party Girl: The topic of ''Johnny, Jack und Jim", doubling as a drinking song.
- Indie Pop: Combined a lo-fi performance style with a professionally produced twee sound.
- Misandry Song: But twisted and ironic. In fact, most of their fans are male.
- The One Guy: Guitarist Herman Herrmann.
- Plucky Girl: The vocal trio, all of them.
- Repetitive Name: Guitarist Herman Herrmann.
- Rousing Speech: Geh in den Keller
- Shout-Out: The name is a reference to Lassie the dog and the Les Humphrey Singers.
- Stylistic Suck: Wir wollen gar nicht besser sein: deliberately off-key harmony vocals.
- Vocal Tag Team
