One of the big four of Swedish Death Metal, along with Entombed, Dismember, and Unleashed, Grave was founded by singer/guitarist Ola Lindgren in 1986. Generally favoring a Three Chords and the Truth approach instead of a more technical sound (with some slight digressions into Doom and Industrial territory) Grave has been going strong for over three decades, and shows no signs of stopping yet.

- Cover Version: Has covered "Them Bones" by Alice in Chains
- Power Trio: Started as one, and briefly became one after Into the Grave, since original bassist Jonas Torndal left.
- New Sound Album: Soulless, which displayed more of a Doom Metal sound .
- Gorn: Generally a bit more subtle about it than most Death Metal bands, but they do delve into it on songs like Severing Flesh, Brutally Deceased, and Deformed.
