One of the big four of Swedish DeathMetal, along with Music/{{Entombed}}, Music/{{Dismember}}, and Music/{{Unleashed}}, Grave was founded by singer/guitarist Ola Lindgren in 1986. Generally favoring a ThreeChordsAndTheTruth approach instead of a more technical sound (with some slight digressions into Doom and Industrial territory) Grave has been going strong for over three decades, and shows no signs of stopping yet.

!!Endless procession of tropes:

* CoverVersion: Has covered "Them Bones" by Music/AliceInChains
* PowerTrio: Started as one, and briefly became one after Into the Grave, since original bassist Jonas Torndal left.
* NewSoundAlbum: Soulless, which displayed more of a DoomMetal sound .
* {{Gorn}}: Generally a bit more subtle about it than most DeathMetal bands, but they do delve into it on songs like Severing Flesh, Brutally Deceased, and Deformed.
