Tropes & trivia associated with Serra and his composed films:

  • Associated Composer: For Luc Besson.
  • Electronic Music: The majority of his scores are rendered electronically, including those for Luc Besson's early films, although he does occasionally use acoustic instruments and on rare occasions a full orchestra.
  • Recycled Soundtrack: And how. For GoldenEye, Serra reused some of his cues from The Professional, including the end credits song, "The Experience of Love" (which he performed himself).
  • Synth-Pop: This is evident in Le Dernier Combat, Subway and Nikita.
