Humanity came close to being decimated by the demons. While the Wizard King saved humanity then, the demons and other villains still pose a major threat. Here are the worst of the worst.

- Rades Spirito is a vicious, vengeful Necromancer who decides to attack the Kingdom of Clover. Using his curse which enslaves the dead to him, Rades bombards the city with magic blasts, and unleashes his zombies to devour everything and everyone they find. Rades then takes time to mock and terrorize Mary, a little girl before trying to kill her as well, only being stopped by Asta's intervention. When Rades reveals his unbelievably petty motivation for wanting Clover destroyed, he was kicked out of the Magic Knights for using dangerous magic, he proceeds to sneer that "reasons are best when they're simple" and declares his belief that as one with powerful Mana, he is free to do whatever he wants to those weaker than him, even if he is destroying a country and killing everyone inside.
- Eye of the Midnight Sun Encounter Arc: Baro is a greedy mage hired by the Eye of the Midnight Sun to collect mana. Baro would force his timid brother, Neige, to lure children from Nairn to his hideout where Baro would extract their mana by subjecting them to torturous experimentation; Baro also leaves one child out to die in the cold when his magic potential was low. Baro would force Neige to fight the Black Bulls when they come to rescue the children and later begs Sally to save him, while planning to abandon her and Neige after Sally pays him.
- Elf Reincarnation Arc: Zagred, the Word Devil, long ago swayed the humans of the Clover Kingdom into siphoning the elves' magic reserves, before exterminating the entire race himself in a way that would hold the prince accountable and trying to possess their leader Licht to destroy the human world, forcing Licht to turn himself into a Demon. Defeated, Zagred reincarnated the elves with a dark spell, letting one elf named Patry lead the terrorist Eye of the Midnight Sun to do as much damage as possible and revive the others to destroy humanity. Revealing himself, Zagred gloats about all he has done to the world before trying to manifest fully, then tortures Patry, breaking him spiritually to transform him into a mindless dark elf and gleefully has him attempt to wipe out the heroes. After stealing Patry's Four-Leaf Clover Grimoire and transforming it into a Five-Leaf Clover Grimoire to obtain more power, Zagred proceeds to open a doorway to pure darkness, seeking to consume the human and elven races alike.
- Heart Kingdom Joint Struggle Arc & Spade Kingdom Raid Arc:
- Vanica Zogratis is one of the Dark Triad. A sadistic killer gleefully bonded to the devil Megicula, Vanica helped lead the coup that wiped out the Grinberryall monarchy and goes on bloody rampages to amuse herself. Having battled Acier Silva with Megicula, Vanica tried to murder Acier's children in the fight. In the present, Vanica attacks the Heart Kingdom to kill enough civilians to draw out and curse its princess Lolopechka, using her own men as bombs to cover herself. Intending on unleashing the devils of the Tree of Qliphoth to slaughter the world, Vanica only cares for engaging in battle as long as she can.
- Megicula, Vanica's bonded devil, is a soft-spoken and sadistic being who enjoys cursing humans to experiment on them and observe their agony. Megicula assists Vanica in all her actions, using her host for chances to curse others and cursing Acier Silva with a painful and lingering death, while cursing her son Nozel to be incapable of speaking of her on pain of death. Manifesting by draining Vanica's life force and intending to bring out the Tree of Qliphoth, Megicula tries to take the live of every human in the vicinity, with intent to continue her curse experiments on all she finds.
- Dante Zogratis is the eldest of the Dark Triad and a man who found no joy in being a soldier or killer until he discovered the existence of pure malice. Intending to unleash the devils to consume the world to create a world of pure evil, Dante masterminds the attacks on the Clover Kingdom to slaughter their Magic Knights and kill the Black Bulls. Deciding to have the people of Spade consumed by the Tree of Qliphoth, Dante also shows no hesitation in attempting to claim the witch Vanessa Enoteca for his own, with a disregard for her own wishes.
- Lucifero, the mightiest of all devils and bonded to Dante, is a tyrant who runs a savage regime among the devils. Lucifero is responsible for the death of Asta and Liebe's mother, an event he does not even recall in the modern day. The driving force behind the Dark Triad and the attempts to overrun existence, Lucifero's arrogance is such that when he is even vaguely wounded by the Black Bulls, he decides to kill every single human alive so the deed may never be repeated.

- Quartet Knights: Freese the Seer was a nobleman who obtained his wealth and power through an amulet that can see the future and travel through time. Freese was murdered by jealous nobles and swore revenge upon the Clover Kingdom upon death, leading to his consciousness being absorbed into his amulet where his rage and hatred for the Kingdom grew. Fourteen years later, Freese possessed his daughter Karna after she finds the amulet and murders one of the nobles responsible for his death and travels to the future to enact his plans. Tagged along by Yami, Freese forces him to fight his own allies on the threat that he would kill if otherwise and constantly mocks him for not being able to kill Karna as well as forcing Magic Knights, including Yuno and Klaus, to attack their friends. Teaming up with the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Freese and his new allies break various Mana seals around the Kingdom to combine the Mana with the power of the Red Moon to destroy the kingdom, innocent civilians included. After being stopped by Yami, Freese goes One-Winged Angel and attempts to slaughter and destroy everyone in sight. While he once cared for his daughter, Freese is now nothing but a depraved and wrathful spirit consumed by hatred and willing to use his own flesh and blood as a puppet in his plan.
