The lyrics speak about not giving up in an uncertain future, capturing Asta's excitement in leaving his village to achieve his dream. It becomes Asta's Background Music when defeating powerful enemies.
  • The first ending, "Aoi Honoo", starts cool and mournful before swinging around to an uplifting melody.
  • OP 2, "PAiNT it BLACK", is a catchy pop rock song with passionate vocals from idol group BiSH.

  • The 3rd Opening, "Black Rover", begins fairly mellow but quickly becomes awesome with strong vocals.
  • ED 3, "Black to the Dreamlight", is soft yet energetic and swells to an inspirational crescendo that promises a new and better day.
  • Opening 4, "Guess Who Is Back", is an alternative rock tune that starts off slow but becomes much more intense in no time. Koda Kumi sings about holding onto your wish and making a comeback, fitting the Black Bulls' struggle against Vetto who tries to crush their hope.
  • ED 4, "four", starts out as almost mournful before transforming into an uplifting ballad about the bonds that can one day make people into True Companions.

  • ED 6, "My Song My Days", is cheerful and uplifting with a soft energy that inspires as the song goes along.
  • Opening 7, "JUSTadICE", begins with a slow, ominous beat and then becomes a rocking tune fitting for the exciting final battles of the Royal Knights Arc, and the beginning of the higher-stakes Reincarnation Arc.
  • OP 8, "sky & blue", is a catchy pop song that builds up over time. The opening's visuals highlight Asta and Yuno's friendship since childhood, fitting with the lyrics which talk about staying together no matter how many years pass by.
  • Opening 9, "RiGHT NOW", begins with a techno tune then turns powerful with strong vocals courtesy of idol group EMPiRE, as well as featuring great visuals of the fights in the Reincarnation Arc.
  • The 10th Opening, "Black Catcher", made by the same singer of "Black Rover", complements the passionate rock vocals with a boisterous piano tune. The lyrics speak about changing a broken world and becoming stronger to do so, going with the Magic Knights' efforts to defeat the Word Soul Devil. The opening itself is complemented with dark visuals.
  • "Stories", the 11th opening by Snow Man, is an upbeat, optimistic song befitting the more light-hearted mood of the story following the Reincarnation Arc.
  • Opening 12, "Everlasting Shine", sung by k-pop band TXT, is a catchy tune which captures the more upbeat, hopeful tone of the anime as the Magic Knights train to defeat the Spade Kingdom.
  • The 13th Opening, "Grandeur", is a catchy and fast-paced song from the artists who sang the 11th opening. Combined with killer visuals that tease the events in the Spade Kingdom Arc, you get a great opening to kick off the time skip.

  • The ending to the OVA, "Dream On", is a thrilling rock theme with an ethereal undercurrent in the tone.

Leitmotifs

  • "Convinction" is Asta's theme and blasts the guitar throughout the motif. Its composition fits both its name and character in refusing to give up.
  • Yuno's themes:
    • "Like a Comet" blasts brass instruments throughout on top of a speedy tune that fits with his fast Wind Magic.
    • "Spirit Pledge" combines an Ethereal Choir with instrumentation to make a song first played when Yuno enters his Spirit Dive form, becoming a fairy-like being of great power.
