Phantom Blood | Battle Tendency | Stardust Crusaders | Diamond is Unbreakable | Golden Wind | Stone Ocean | Steel Ball Run | JoJolion | The JOJOLands
- "The JoJo"ExplanationPromotional artwork for The JOJOLands done to ring in 2023 features a teaser image of a character (later revealed to be Jodio) for the upcoming new part within the image of a rabbit (in reference to the Chinese Zodiac) and the words "THE JOJO". This lead to people calling them simply "The JoJo" as a sort of fan nickname before release.
- "John JoJoLands"ExplanationSame as above, this was a nickname for Jodio before release.
- Hot Dog Guy/Pink GuyExplanationPromotional artwork for The JOJOLands has Jodio with images of allies Paco and Dragona, as well as some others. Fans have given extra attention to Usagi Aloha'oe, who's seen wearing a strange wetsuit and munching on a hot dog. He has also been often compared to Pink Guy from Filthy Frank due to both wearing a similar bodysuit. This similarity has been the subject of many memes.
- Tingle UsagiExplanationThe color scheme used for Usagi in the digital color version of volume one primarily consists of lime green, red and blue. Combine that with the bodysuit and eccentric personality, and comparisons to Tingle arose basically from the moment he was revealed.
- Jodio.pngExplanationIn a similar vein to Jolyne.png, the first colored image of Jodio quickly became a meme as many Twitter users used it as their profile picture.
- Araki Says ACABExplanationAfter the first chapter of The JOJOLands was released, many fans took to reevaluating how police in JoJo are either written as abusive, such as the booger cop in Battle Tendency and the rapist cop in The JOJOLands, or as good people who die early on, such as Ryohei Higashikata in Diamond is Unbreakable and Abbacchio's partner in Golden Wind, and viewed it as Araki spreading anti-cop propaganda, with some memetically viewing him as the kind of person who would say "all cops are bastards".
- Furthermore...ExplanationAn early leak of the aforementioned molestation scene received a very Duwang-like translation, where the cop molesting Dragona says, "furthermore, he came." Whilst disturbing, many fans believed the interaction Crosses the Line Twice due to how absurd of a situation it was, and the cop began to be viewed in a similar way to Donovan from Berserk. It also didn't help that the actual translation was essentially, "the dick makes it better."
- "Meanwhile, I'm like this."ExplanationA panel of Jodio showing how much street style he has gathered from being a drug trafficker. Usually shown how Jodio has "the rizz" and how he's a "sigma male".
- The MechanismExplanationJodio's introductory Character Filibuster has him go on about his "mechanism" that is, supposedly, fated to bring him wealth. The choice of words was so bizarre that a lot of people began using the word "mechanism" in completely nonsensical contexts or as a non sequitur. Some memes describe a "Mechanism Grindset", referencing the Sigma Grindset meme.
- Zoomer Jodio memesExplanationJodio's birth year being 2007 means that he is the first JoJo to be a "zoomer", I.E. born after the rise of the internet among the public. Combined with the fact that he acts very much like the 15-year old he is, it's become popular to depict him as being utterly obsessed with quoting stereotypical 2020s teenage meme culture, such as Among Us, Fortnite, MrBeast, TikTok, or wojaks.
- Giorno and Jodio comparisons.ExplanationMany people have noticed the inspirations from Giorno's character that Jodio's character has, being a teenage criminal who's part of a crime organtization. However, the one key difference is that Jodio has trafficked drugs to minors, something that Giorno is vehemently against. Many memes depicting scenarios of the two meeting with a fight ensuing and Giorno using Gold Experience Requiem on him have been made, along with crossovers with the more-general "¿Quieres?"◊ meme.
- Fucked Up JoestarExplanationJodio's name is one letter away from being "jodido", which is Spanish for fucked up. The Spanish side of the fanbase was quick to share this fact, leading to Jodio being labelled as the "Fucked Up Joestar", complementing how he's by far the most amoral Joestar. It also doesn't help that Jodio is diagnosed with antisocial personality disorder.
- Echoes Act 4ExplanationBoth November Rain and Echoes Act 3 have the power to crush objects with immense weight, leading to jokes that the former is just the next evolution of the latter.
- Diego fucked his horseExplanationDue to a theory that Diego is Jodio and Dragona's ancestor and for his horse Silver Bullet having a star on its head similar to a Joestar birthmark, some memes having jokingly claimed that Diego and Silver Bullet are Jodio's ancestors and that Diego had sex with his horse.
- Joshu is the Japanese touristExplanationMany fans theorized that the Japanese tourist at the villa would be Joshu, and a very convincing fake leak was created in which Rohan was edited to have Joshu's hair. This image became very popular soon after it was released, with some being convinced that it is canon.
- HE'S the Jojo Rabbit ExplanationA lot of people were quick to point out how Usagi's name translates to rabbit, leading to people joking that he was named after the film Jojo Rabbit. Alternatively, he's mentioned as the rabbit that appears during the announcement of The JOJOLands.
- Araki favoritismExplanationThe meme that Araki has extreme favoritism towards Rohan Kishibe and that he is his self insert have strengthened after Rohan was revealed to be the Japanese tourist at the end of the second chapter, especially because he's the only alternate universe counterpart to both have the exact same name and look identical to his original universe self.
- Griddy BirdExplanationThe way that Usagi's stand, The Matte Kudasai, moves has been likened to the griddy dance that became popular from 2018 onwards.
- "Hmm. You're kinda... You're kinda, like... How do I say this? Kinda... sus."ExplanationA line and a panel of Jodio calling a customer suspicious quickly became infamous due to the Among Us association; adding even more fuel to the zoomer Jodio memes. One of the fan translators even considered him saying "sus" outright, before changing it to avoid the memes (to no avail), as the Japanese term used is actually the one commonly used for describing someone as "sus" by Japanese Among Us players.
- Rohan FishibeExplanationAn edit of Rohan in the pool as a merman, spawned from jokes of him being "moisturized and in his lane" and the "moisture is the essence of wetness" meme from Zoolander. The edit was also convincing enough to make some Tumblr users think it was a real spoiler where Rohan actually becomes a merman, leading to more jokes of how bizarre JoJo is that even the most outrageous memes can be mistaken for canon.
- Right Camera/Left CameraExplanationWhen Usagi has Dragona use The Matte Kudasai on Rohan's security camera, the left camera displays the heist team clearly, while the right camera displays them as Gonks. From this, fans made edits of other characters being displayed on the duplicate cameras, from Giorno and Sonny Likir◊ to Jotaro◊ and his Made In Heaven-universe counterpart.
- Paco and Usagi WojakExplanationThe panel in Chapter 3 where Paco and Usagi find the safe stashing the diamond in Rohan's house has drawn comparisons to the Wojaks pointing meme.
- Rohan Steals Jodio's ClothesExplanationA Tweet from popular JoJo fan musician Riverdude Covers features him cosplaying as Rohan wearing Jodio's outfit, saying it's payback for him and the heist team stealing his diamond. Many fans shared the video around on account of it being incredibly in-character for Rohan to act this petty, complete with an animation of the original video by JoJo fan animator Diana A Go Go.
- Araki is Obsessed With Breaking BadExplanationDue to the increased popularity of Breaking Bad across the internet, connections between the two began the moment it was revealed that Jodio distributes drugs. Whilst these connections were originally ironic, come Chapter 2 and it starts with a recreation of Badger's drug bust. More references to the show began to appear in later chapters, with fans now shifting the jokes to focus on Araki and how he's presumably obsessed with the show.
- Evil YasuhoExplanationFans were quick to compare the white girl that bullied and assaulted Dragona for being gender-nonconforming to Yasuho from Part 8 in terms of appearance. Some even colored images of her to make her look even more like Yasuho.
