It's time to find myself a bride, but I want her to love me, not fear and hate me, Ullman, the first Apostle.

Alternative : 無限使徒和十二個戰爭女孩
Author(s) : 酸奶丸子/sf轻小说 - Lukezrc
In this manhua, and the later released web-novel format, the first Apostle, and the most powerful, Ullmm, decides it's time to settle down and find himself a wife. Now, while he could easily point at any girl of his choosing and say "be mine," he'd rather have his future wife genuinely dote on and love him with genuine affection, rather than sheer unbridled terror of facing consequences for saying "no."

In order to accomplish this, he descends to the mortal world and takes on the disguise of a commoner named Yu, no family name, but he's already off to a rough start because his own chivalry compels him to interfere in a fight between General Charlotte Kerr and an ice dragon. Although he does use his powers to muddle her memories and then tries to skip town and start his search elsewhere, only to find himself drafted into the academy where Kerr is a high-ranked teacher.

During the entrance live combat "exam," he meets Elsa, the girl he considers his ideal fiance candidate, and the two seem to hit it off, but things are still not easy, as various conspiracies, power-plays, monster and demon invasions, and all other sorts of trouble keep coming his way, forcing him to walk the tightrope of putting forward just enough power to solve the situation without revealing his identity and scaring off his intended sweetheart.

Can he pull it off?

Infinite Apostles and the Twelve War Tropes.

  • Aristocrats Are Evil: The vast majority of the upper echelons of every country shown so far are all... unpleasant, at best, and have little, if any, compunction against doing any and all nastiness to maintain or improve their standing, the commoners are all just "wastes" and "trash" to be trampled on.
  • Battle Harem: The title all but spells it out. Yu is pretty much slated to find himself with a harem of 12 war maidens.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: It's astonishingly common to see people who seem good and kind at first glance to actually be anything but.
  • Elemental Powers: To date people have been shown hurling fire, wind, and ice magic around. One person did use wood-magic, but that "person" was actually an illusion used during the "entrance exam" that Yu was drafted to attend.
  • Internal Reveal: After hearing that another Apostle is getting ready to wreck havoc in the area where he's operating, Yu decides to reveal to his closest girls that he's actually Apostle Ullmm. They refuse to believe him.
  • Mad Scientist: Many story arcs involve researchers, teachers, mentors, and people in authority doing extremely unethical things For Science!
  • Smug Snake: Each and every one of the antagonists against Yu thinks way, way too highly of themselves and love to flaunt their self-perceived superiority. This makes it so gratifying when their schemes fall apart and Yu tramples their superiority complexes to the ground.
  • Spell My Name With An S: Translators just can't seem to agree on how to spell the character's names. Elsa is often written as Aisha. Charlotte Keer is often written as Kerr, Ulman is originally written as Ullmm and so on.
  • Unwanted Harem: Not that Yu is complaining, but although Elsa is the girl nearest and dearest to his heart, Yu is forced by circumstances beyond his control to entertain at least 11 other girls.
  • Wingding Eyes: When Yu, Hilfy, and Abbigail are about to chow down on delicious food, their eyes literally get stars in them.
  • World of Jerkass: Genuinely good and noble people are in rare supply, especially in positions of authority. Charlotte Keer abused her teaching position to basically force Yu to be her apprentice, and then uses the fact that she's his "master" to deliver violence on him whenever he steps on one or more of her hidden emotional land-mines. This is the most benevolent example.
