Kouta Ooyama is a high schooler who lives on his own in an apartment. While he would love to indulge in playing video games or eating snacks, this is often interrupted by the notorious delinquent and classmate Riko Akutsu, who boards herself into his apartment.

The more she visits him, the more they start to develop feelings for each other.

Please Go Home, Akutsu-san! (Kaette Kudasai, Akutsu-san!) is a 2019 ecchi romantic comedy manga series written by Nagaoka Taichi. Initially released bi-weekly at Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace Up, the series is currently released weekly and it was licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment for English release on April 2023.

The manga

  • Bait-and-Switch: When Akutsu mentions her parents as the reason she doesn’t want to spend time at her own home, the obvious first thought is that they’re Abusive Parents. Actually, she just can’t handle their Sickeningly Sweethearts flirting with each other.
  • Beach Episode: A variation: Akutsu decides to throw one at...Ooyama's apartment.
  • Delinquent: Riko Akutsu is a blonde-haired Yankee who habitually skips school out of laziness.
  • Everyone Can See It: All of the variety of people with working eyes in the story can tell Akutsu and Ooyama are pretty much a romantic couple.
  • Generation Xerox: Akutsu’s parents got together under the exact same Pretty Freeloaders circumstances that she currently has with Ooyama...and they act very similar to them as well.
  • Hidden Depths: Under her abrasiveness, Akutsu is both markedly affectionate and tender.
  • In Vino Veritas: After accidentally drinking her mother's beer, Akutsu reveals that she actually likes Ooyama.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Akutsu is a well-endowed delinquent with a curvaceous body, which she often uses to tease Ooyama.
  • Pretty Freeloaders: This is the whole premise of the story. Apparently, Akutsu’s parents had something identical going on when they got together.
  • Puppy Love: Played for laughs. This is what Akutsu and Ooyama actually have going on, as their gestures towards each other when alone at his apartment are very soft, sweet and tender. However, their behavior at school hilariously suggests that they're all over each other most of the time.
  • Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful!: Akutsu knows that Ooyama finds her hot, so she gets to do almost whatever she wants in his apartment.
  • Shipper on Deck: Ooyama's landlord, Ooya, takes a liking to Akutsu and enjoys her interactions with Ooyama. She ends up being Exaggerated, giving the two stuff with the (correct) expectation that some cutesiness will occur between them because of her gift and keeping a constant eye on them to spy their interactions that could only be definitely considered stalking.
  • Sickeningly Sweethearts: Played for laughs. As the story goes on, Akutsu and Ooyama are essentially tenderly in love with each other to a comedic level (and pretty much cohabitating...i.e. what romantic couples do), so much that they're considered an item at school. Keep in mind, we're talking about two young individuals who have yet to confess to each other.
  • The Tease: Akutsu enjoys flaunting her feminine wiles to Ooyama.
  • The Thing That Would Not Leave: Akutsu is this for Ooyama, but her intrusions start becoming more welcome as time goes by, not that either would admit it.
  • Tsundere: Mutually:
    • Akutsu acts abrasive towards Ooyama to hide the fact that she was developing feelings for him.
    • Ooyama is given to deny having any sort of romantic relationship with Akutsu, even though he really wants to.
