Criminale! is a manga by Mizuiro Suimin, which was serialized in MangaONE from 2015 to 2017 and compiled into four volumes.
17 year old Ichimura Tamito leads a life of pain and loneliness, due to a strange ability that attracts criminals towards him. Until one day, he transfers to a classroom, full of criminals and suspects.
Tropes in the series
- Academy of Adventure: While the criminal students are contained in one class, the whole school is pulled into their antics so often, they react as if it was a casual occurrence.
- Chase Scene: In chapter 3 where Ichimura ran away from Class 2-0
- Cut Short: Ended in just 30 chapters, due to the mangaka's health taking a turn for the worse.
- Double Entendre: In chapter 3, Momoka explained to the others how Tamito defeated her in a way that it sounds like that they had sex.
- Funny Background Event: In chapter 2, while Ichimura Tamito was deep in thought, he walks pass a flasher.
- Imagine Spot: In the yokmona of Chapter 30, the class imagine about the things that could have fallen from the sky. including the realistic expectations of falling guitars and Ichimuras.
- Look Both Ways: The series starts off with the protagonist Ichimura Tamito getting hit by a car. The irony is that he did look both ways before crossing and still gets hit. Considering that he is a Doom Magnet for crime, the driver might have been lying in wait.
- Nuclear Family: Surprisingly, most of the students in Class 2-0 have living parents (& some of them have siblings) except for Harukana, whose parents died before the manga started, and probably the biggest factor of why she become a thief.
- Sailor Fuku: The girls' uniform of Seishin High. Christie wears a Custom Uniform that consist of a blazer with a necktie and a tartan (plaid) skirt.
- Wacky Homeroom: Class 2-0, a class full of criminals.
- Yonkoma: A unique feature for the manga after each chapter ends.
