Acro Trip is a comedy Magical Girl manga written and illustrated by Yona Sawata, which was serialized in the shoujo manga magazine Ribon from 2017 to 2022.
The plot follows middle schooler Chizuko Date as she sets out on a hilariously twisted journey to bolster the popularity of local Magical Girl Berrry Blossom.
An anime adaptation by Voli was annouced at the end of 2022 and set to air in October 2024.See the teaser for the series here.
Acro Trip provides examples of the following tropes:
- Bears Are Bad News: Chroma's troops seems to be some sort of bear-like enemy with huge eyes and sharp teeth, they're also extremely round as well.
- Magical Girl: Berry Blossom is one, and she serves as the protector of Niigata City from any threats.
- Otaku: Chizuko is described as one, being more specifically an otaku for magical girls and being an especially big fan of Berry Blossom.
