- Bad Powers, Good People: As a Plague Dragon, Illusia is basically a living biological hazard. In spite of that, he's a heroic individual who yearns for companionship.
- Break His Heart to Save Him: After the Little Rock Dragon's rampage in the second volume, Illusia slashes Myria in order to scare her off, afraid that his metamorphosis into an adult Plague Dragon will hurt her if she gets too close. He also considers driving off the black lizard and ape monsters to protect them too.
