I accept the contract, let's travel together from now on, Sistina!

Makenshi no Maken Niyoru Maken no Tame no Harem Life (translated as "The Habitual Swordsman’s Cursed Sword Have Become Magical Swords Leading to Harem Life") is a light novel series by Fukuryu.

Fujinomiya Soujirou, a normal high-schooler deeply in love with swords, is killed one night by a robber’s blade. However, he awakens in a mysterious space and meets “God”, who offers to transfer him to a new world with his beloved katana. Not being given a cheat, he is instead given the power to raise swords into certain forms. Meeting companions and friends along the way, he aims to create himself a Sword Harem.

Associated Tropes:

  • Anthropomorphic Personification: The swords Soujiro treasures turn into very attractive women based on the sword's martial history and physical characteristics.
  • Battle Harem: Soujiro has several women following him around. All of them are powerful fighters in one way or another. Soujiro is no slouch himself.
  • Beyond the Impossible: Soujiro can read the encrypted parts of people's status screens and modify the magical contract of an [Acolyte] like Sistina. This is supposed to be impossible.
  • Cargo Ship: In universe. Ever since Soujiro was old enough to walk and talk, he's had romantic feelings for swords of all kinds. Fortunately for him, he gets whisked to another world on his death where the swords he loves take on the form of very, very attractive women who happily reciprocate his feelings.
  • Conditional Powers: [Acolytes], like Sistina, can not use their powerful martial or other talents unless they're bound by a magical contract, aside from self-defense. If they try, they will lose their abilities and be left completely helpless. Sistina starts the story being escorted by a pair of nobles to their young son, and unable to help them when they're all set upon by bandits. Not wanting to go through that again, she seeks to make a contract with Soujiro, once he proves that he has no ulterior or evil motives towards her, or the population at large.
  • Empathic Weapon: Soujiro's swords are sentient and all have individual personalities. They love him because he dotes on them and pampers them like crazy.
  • Hotter and Sexier: The original web-novel is R-15, with most of the early chapters only going as far as Bathtub Bonding, and although there are sex-scenes, the story doesn't go into detail. The manga has Soujirou having sex with the ladies of his Battle Harem on screen, just shy of straight-up hentai.
  • Property of Love: Sistina offers Soujiro three types of contract. Employee, where either side can terminate the contract at any time, but her abilities are extremely limited. Master-Servant (or Master-Slave in the original novel) where the contract can be broken only by mutual consent, leaving her abilities limited but not as badly. Soujiro, being a somewhat perverted heterosexual teen, unsurprisingly chooses the third type, 'absolute subordinate which has Sistina obey his orders without question. To everyone's surprise, he alters the contract to allow her a one-time veto every time he gives her an order, among other things that shows her he still sees her as a person and respects her wishes, but the contract can only be terminated if he wishes it, and all her abilities are at their most powerful. She happily accepts.
