SnapCube is a Let's Play YouTube Channel hosted by Penny Parker. The channel is most well known for the gaming edition of Real-Time Fandub, although Penny also does a wide variety of more traditional gaming videos, both solo and with her friends with many different genres of games being played on her channel. She, along with the cast of Real-Time Fandub have also done a series known as Sonic Destruction, a fanfiction, created by an AI, about Sonic the Hedgehog that has its own tropes page.

In addition to the main SnapCube channel, Penny also has a channel under her own name which is mostly used for music, behind the scenes videos for RTF, and other non-gaming randomness and a secondary SnapCube channel used to archive her Twitch streams. With a joyful personality and great chemistry between her and her friends, the channel has collected a decently sized fanbase with over 500K subscribers.

SnapCube contains examples of:

  • Actor Allusion: As part of a Running Gag, Penny overlays an image of Rigby over Nonomiya whenever he appears. Both characters were played by William Salyers.
  • Astonishingly Appropriate Interruption: During the inFAMOUS stream, when Zeke calls Cole and says his name while Penny is introducing the latter.
  • Black Comedy: The gag involving Rigby and Nonomiya under Actor Allusion comes to a head with Penny putting the Rigby picture over Nonomiya's dead body.
  • The Determinator: Penny can be relentless when it comes to trying to beat a particularly tough level (notably, when she spent over an hour and a half completing the macho time challenge for "Rock Slide" in The SpongeBob Movie Game).
  • The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You:
    • Invoked during the infamous "Psycho Crocker" bit. First, Penny dies despite seemingly not touching anything, then the entire game crashes, forcing Penny to spend several minutes getting it working again. Both are jokingly attributed to Crocker, and Penny later admits on multiple occasions that she feels as though Crocker is legitimately draining what's left of her mental stamina.
"I turned off your game, Turner! Blackout!"
    • A minor example happens during the final Sonic Unleashed PS2 stream. Immediately after a bit in which Chip's status as Light Gaia goes to his head and he and Sonic fall out, Penny runs out of lives and the game crashes. Cue Mar as Chip:
"You see what happens when you anger God, Sonic? You see what happens?"
  • Gilligan Cut: During the highlight video of her The Incredible Hulk (2008) stream, we get this:
Bruce: [...]but there are times when [The Hulk] surprises me by reaching out and helping someone in need.
  • Hope Spot: During her playthrough of The SpongeBob Movie Game, around 90 minutes into her attempts to complete the macho time challenge for "Rock Slide", it seems as though she's going to beat it, with the chat cheering her on and the end within view. Cue Penny forgetting to double jump and SpongeBob and Patrick falling into lava.
Penny: No. No! (laughter) Oh, man... (more laughter) We were literally right there! Oh, my god...
  • Late-Arrival Spoiler: During the Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog dub, Knuckles remarking that Espio "once speedread a book I was reading just to spoil the ending for me" kickstarts a brief Running Gag of Espio and Tails trading heavy (though fairly well-known) spoilers for the likes of Game of Thrones, The Sixth Sense, and Of Mice and Men. Haven't seen any of those? Too bad!
  • Layman's Terms: During the Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog dub, Ryan (as Espio) ad-libs that one of Tails' lines is too hard to understand, prompting Red (as Tails) to dumb it down for him.
Tails: It's not that I don't trust either of you, but I wouldn't be a proper detective without examining the validity of your alibis.
Espio: Those words are too big.
Tails: I'd be bad at my job if I didn't think you were lying.
    Espio: Oh, okay, carry on.
  • Made Myself Sad: After accidentally killing Zeke by knocking him off of Alden's tower in inFAMOUS, Penny (who didn't realize what had happened) does it again - this time deliberately. Penny says something to Zeke to justify what she's doing, only to realize what she said.
Penny: Sorry, Zeke. I had to try. (...) oh no, saying that just made me so sad...
  • Manipulative Editing: Parodied during her second Resident Evil Village stream during the No-Gear Level, related to the Running Gag mentioned below.
Penny (As Ethan): You gotta give me (suddenly changes tone of voice) my (returns to original tone) gun!
  • Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping: Throughout The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, Prq7qe's accent goes all over the place. At first they're American with a somewhat nasally, nerdy voice, then one of their lines prompts Penny to start voicing them in an English accent that gets progressively more Cockney, then she switches to only using that accent for their internal monologue, then she gets rid of it entirely and reverts to the American accent. Even after that, she changes Prq7qe's voice a couple more times, to the point that the other dubbers have to ask her to stop experimenting and just stick with the voice she's been using.
  • Only Sane Man: Very heavily downplayed by Danny, as while he doesn't display as many manic tendencies as his comrades, he still lets them continue their rampage and admits his unfinished business is to rob a bank. Next to Spongebob, Jimmy and Timmy, he's a saint.
  • Orphaned Punchline: Downplayed with The Fairly Odd Parents Breakin Da Rules Finalethon stream. Psycho Crocker demanding to look at Timmy's PlayStation Network trophies is funny enough by itself, but the edited version removes his preceding remark that Timmy has played Lollipop Chainsaw, which has an achievement for looking up Juliet's skirt. This adds a whole new dimension to the demand (and especially his follow-up line, "Let's see what kind of man you really are, Turner!") and makes it even funnier.
  • Overly Long Gag: For one of her Twitch streams, Penny set up a donation incentive to allow viewers to force her to watch the intro to Bubsy. Cue a donation war lasting over 2 hours, with over 80 loops of the intro and around 2 thousand dollars donated, even after quadrupling the cost of the incentive.
  • Running Gag:
    • In the inFAMOUS streams, Cole's relationship with water is a common discussion in her chat, much to her annoyance due to how often it comes up.
    • Penny starting a sentence with "Me when..." and twisting the meaning of something that someone in the game just said.
    • Her chat rule of "No Backseating" is frequently said in response to Annoying Video Game Helpers.
    • "Taken down by a gamer" during the finale of her inFAMOUS: Second Son series.
    • "You gotta give me your X" during Resident Evil Village, referencing one of Ethan's quotes from the previous game.
    • "Gotta Blast!" during the Nicktoons Unite! stream / "Non-Fungible Toonsnote "
Penny: My Jimmy Neutron impression is so bad I have to make sure I say "Gotta Blast" so people know who I'm trying to joke about.
    • Tails' shocked sprite in The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog gets compared early on to Star Lord's horrified Flat "What" after learning Ego killed his mother. From that point on, every single time that sprite appears, Red imitates the Flat "What", and whoever Tails is speaking to responds in-character with "Now, I know that sounds bad..."
    • During the first two Sonic Unleashed PS2 streams, every time Penny selects a location where nobody is present, Chip goes on an increasingly furious rant at Sonic for dragging him to a place with no people. By the second stream, Penny and Mar are actually dreading this happening, but carry on the bit regardless.
      • Chip having a different Running Gag in each stream becomes a Running Gag in its own right, to point that the final stream has a brief running gag of Penny and Mar trying to figure out a new running gag for Chip to keep up the running gag of different running gags. Yeah.
  • Serious Business: The Kermit Discourse. Penny using Kermit as a metaphor for jumping to conclusions leads to a debate that escalates until...
Penny: "He has no legs"!? I'm fucking seething. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN, KERMIT DOESN'T HAVE ANY LEGS?!
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: During one Sonic Unleashed PS2 stream, Penny leaves to get grab food and drink, and Mar, in her absence, tells chat to count from 1 to 100. When Penny gets back:
    Penny: Hey, what's going on?
    Mar: Oh, nothing.
    Penny: Are you just counting?
Mar: I didn't tell chat to count to 100.
    [Beat, followed by Mar corpsing]
Penny: [deadpan] I'm seeing a lot of, um... seeing a lot of evidence to the contrary, Mar.
  • That Came Out Wrong: During one Sonic Unleashed PS2 stream, after Penny falls into the water in Holoska for about the dozenth time, she and Mar get sidetracked trying to make popping noises with their mouths, prompting Mar to ask chat for their "best mouth tricks". Penny hastily chimes in to ask chat not to do that, at which point Mar invokedrealises what he just said.
  • The Unpronounceable: Defied in The Murder of Sonic The Hedgehog. When asked to enter the player character's name, Penny decides to have each dubber pick a single letter, which results in them being named "Prq7qe". For convenience, it's decided that this is pronounced "Preston".
  • Verbal Tic: Jimmy Neutron usually says "Gotta Blast" after finishing a sentence, which Penny chalks up to thinking her Jimmy Neutron voice isn't good enough to be identified as such.

Snapcube - Tarzan's Forrest

Happens repeatedly in Adventure 2, due to the fact that several of the cast members have never played the game before. In particular, after Eggman warns Sonic and Shadow that "you have thirteen seconds before the island fucking explodes", Alfred has to be informed that that really is what happens.

How well does it match the trope?
