Just For Fun / Good Names For Rock Bands

Go To

This is Exactly What It Says on the Tin — a version of Trope Names for a Band that you don't have to use tropes for. Otherwise, the same rules apply. Have fun!

Examples:

  • Alien Elf Brigade: Chip Hop/Outrun-infused 80's arena rock, with an EP of Late Nite Lo-Fi offerings.
  • Anthropophagus - Doom Metal with heavily Gorn-filled lyrics.
  • The Astro-Zombies - Horror punk in the same vein as The Misfits.
  • The Astounding Zimmerman Sisters: Genre-roulette rock, with an all-male band.
  • Atomic Kittens: an all girl music group who mainly focuses on female anarchism and heavy editing in their songs. Cat sounds are layered and warped in every single.
  • Beyond Thunder Road - Alternative/stoner, probably with Hawkwind, Kyuss and Monster Magnet as influences.
  • CRAAAAAIG! - Old-school punk. The name must be screamed.
  • Devil of the Details - Vaguely emo power-pop. Hopelessly bad.
  • Dinosaur Dinosaur Dinosaur - Synth-heavy post-prog rock.
  • Erected Delicate Particulars: a hardcore rock band with a tendency for lewd, suggestive lyrics.
  • Esquire, Incorporated - New Wave.
  • Frankenstein's Atomic Heart - Gothic Metal focusing on classic horror tropes

  • Licking Faces - Deliberately-offensive heavily scatalogical Nu-metal.
