This is a list of recommendations made by Tropers for DeviantArt. Feel free to recommend your favorite art/artist here, but please follow the preferred template found below.
Bear in mind that recommendations are subjective, so if you want to question or discuss any given recommendation you should do so on the appropriate discussion page. If you want people to view the art/artist you're recommending, you should put some effort into writing the description. Sell us the art, but don't inflate it; we're striving for some quality art here, so if you have difficulties with making it look interesting, maybe it wasn't that good in the first place.
In addition, you will notice that the tropers have signed their recommendations. Somebody has to vouch for them, so if a given recommendation isn't backed up by anybody, it will be zapped. After a few samples, you will be able to note the interests of the tropers recommending them, and judge whether you might be also interested in a certain pic.
Reviews of art/artist are encouraged, but if you choose to write one, please make it substantive, and give specific details about what you liked/disliked about it. If you want to give a art/artist a thumbs-up without writing a full review, you can add your troper handle to the Recommended by line.
Below is the required format for a recommendation. If you're making a new page, or adding to an existing one, copy that text into the page.

- A comic depicting various mediums and concepts, most of which internet-based. currently early in the story, the comic tells the story of EB-the-Gamer, who along with other deviant artists get brought into the internet's strange world by a mysterious force. Planned to feature other internet personalities, artists and their characters, and so on; the comic is admittedly a tad crude in art style and dialog. now has its own page

- Comments: This might just be one of the most intricately detailed things I've ever seen. It's hard to image how long it took him to make it. It is one of my all time favorite images. (I'd say most favorite, but that is grammatically incorrect.)

- Description: A series of seven books (work in progress) that the Author himself describes as a cross between Angel and The Dresden Files, but it is not fan fiction!
- Comments: I've read what the Author has put up on the site and managed to contact him directly. He let me see a few previews of his next books and while the series is still in its infancy on the site, I can say that he really has a good arc that spans the entire series and has even hinted a spin off series that might be even larger than the original.

- Description: An inspiring work to remind those who may be thinking of suicide that they are not alone
- As someone who oftentimes suffers from depression I find this beautiful as well as it falling under Heartwarming Moment. Even if you just had a bad day, please give it a look.

- Description: Basically... Phobs is a legend. One of the most celebrated, inspiring and imitated artists on the site, though not always the most visible, by virtue of her being The Quiet One. Known for having a varied range of subject matters in illustration: High-ranking members of the Nazi party (and other WW2 historical figures), Marvel Comics superheroes, W.I.T.C.H. characters, 13th-century Mongol leader Batu Khan, Dark Lords Melkor and Mairon and a plethora of others. Draws heavy inspiration from history and Eastern artwork, fashion and architecture. Has an infrequently-updated webcomic about the childhood of Temujin, who you might know better as Genghis Khan. Currently works as an illustrator for Bubble, an emerging Russian comic book publishing house; you can see her artwork in their Майор Гром / Major Thunder comicbook series.

- Notable Works: Join me in death - A 101 DS story
- Recommended by: Beescy TVT
- Comments: Mainly does really great 101 Dalmatian Street vector fanart that matches up well with the show itself. There's a variety of works that he made, from Dolly and Dylan hanging out together, to pictures of the characters engaging in random shenanigans, some of them quite funny, to vector images of the characters with a transparent background, to one of the best 101DS fanfics: "Join me in death", a Dark Fic that revolves around Dylan being the only one to survive Cruella De Vil's evil plan to kill all the puppies and turn them into fur coats. When Dylan is crying while sitting near the coast one night, Dolly appears to him as a ghost, and gives him a boost in confidence. He then goes to make the most out of his life, while also finding a way to avenge his siblings. The fanfic has many scenes of Heartwarming Moments mixed in with Tear Jerker, as well as a bit of Nightmare Fuel as well. It is one of the few fanfics that avoids Sturgeon's Law, and has a really good reception.

- Comments: An exceptionally talented painter, both digital and traditional, does all sorts of different genres as well as highly popular flash comics. Is currently (as of November 2012) working on another project called Fisheye Placebo. Known for her incredibly effective cyber-activism on current issues such as global warming, animal cruelty, pollution, censorship and family drama. But it's not all serious! Highly, highly recommended.

- Comments: Forest Hymn stands out for being a talented Christian artist in a place with few Christian artists, and the majority of those few demonstrating Sturgeon's Law. Somewhat of a warning: She preaches though her art and in the comments, this does not bother me but I can see how it could some people.

- Description: Animesque, slightly Super-Deformed art style. A fanboy of Mega Man.
- Comments: Rarely does anything that would get labeled "mature", at least these days, although there are a lot of cases in which he errs on the side of caution in terms of that. Does a lot of original stuff. Occasionally does furry art, mostly on the near side of Funny Animal on the Sliding Scale of Anthropomorphism.
Ninja-8004 (AKA Michael Gonzales)
- Recomended by: Soran The Man
- The following user can best be described as a man whos art is very versatile and varied compared to many other members of the site. His style is based on anime and he tends to post everything from colorless scetches to fully colored images. Even though his main body of work tends to revolve around Ninjas, My Little Pony and sexy women, he still manages to find a little something for everyone to enjoy: Comedy, Action, Romance, Heartwarming, Fanservice (for both genders) and even some horror. He can even throw in a chibi or two. But the best part about him is probably the fact that he is a perfect example to how time can really improve an artist and his work. In other words: compare his earlier works too his later works.

- Description: Anne Marie Bone is a professional artist who works in traditional media. In addition to her deviantART gallery, she has a personal gallery where she sells her works. [1]
- Comments: Her art is truly a thing of beauty. Most of her works are nature and landscape paintings and her use of color is mesmerizing. She also delves into other subjects, including the odd abstract piece and occasional photography.

- Description: She does some amazing Pokémon fanart, including the brilliant FAITH doujinshi. She has also done a couple of original series, plus a Yu-Gi-Oh! doujinshi.

- Notable Works: Golden Gate Bridge, Drops Of Orange, South Beach Harbor, Akaka Falls, Algae On A Gray Sand Beach, and View From Kohala Highlands.
- Comments: He does a lot of nature and travel photography, mostly in the form of landscape and macro shots. As of this writing, his gallery contains photos from places such as San Francisco, Hawaii, Thailand, Aruba, Spain, Morocco, and Gibraltar. His composition - and camera tech - has improved over time, though his shots with a point-and-shoot camera are impressive.
- Recommended by: Hollownerox
- Description: Specializes in Sci-Fi artwork but he has also done several fantasy art pieces as well. Notable in that he has been officially commissioned to draw art for Warhammer 40,000 and Age of Sigmar; so you can see his art on official Codex books and Black Library novel covers.
- Comments: Really all you need to look at is his rendition of a Black Legion Chaos Space Marine to understand what Gamesworkshop saw in him. His digital art is simply stunning in the amount of detail and lore consistency.
- Recommended by: beeruckzII
- Description: Mainly does Master/Missy and Doctor/Master related pieces.
- Comments: As you can tell from her username, she's a big fan of Doctor Who, the Master/Missy and the Doctor/Master pairing. Her style is so beautiful and fresh, and the coloring is very vibrant. Her other works, including Zelda, are really nice too. Though some of her works are NSFW.
- Recommended by: beeruckzII
- Description: Her gallery consists of only Rose/Doctor pictures.
- Comments: It's obvious from just looking at her gallery that she's a HUGE fan of Rose and the Doctor together. She's even added some Classic Who Doctor's with her! And each and every piece - despite there only being 26 works as of February 11th, 2016 - are so beautiful, cute and lovely! The only warning I can give is to not check her out if you're not a fan of the Rose/Doctor pairing.

- Comments: British Lilo & Stitch and Pokémon fan artist who has been working on drawing every single genetic experiment from the Lilo & Stitch franchise for years, making truly unique and original designs for every experiment that officially remains unseen to this day. He's managed to get better at drawing over the years, actually becoming rather talented since he started this "draw every experiment" project with his old "experiments" account, reaching near-Disney levels of design and technical quality. If you want to see fan-made experiments that don't look like romanticized derivatives of Stitchnote and look like they would actually fit in with the franchise's universe (should Disney have continued to focus on introducing new experiments), then this is the guy to watch.
