    Multiple Streamers
  • Vinny played a bootleg Mario game called Super Boy for the MSX early in Vinesauce's life. Years later, commenters on the highlight video for that stream pointed out that the Mario sprite in that game resembles Grand Dad, with both being miscolored because of palette-related reasons.

    Vinny
  • Vinny joking about Toad getting his own game in the Super Toad 67 video in early 2014 became funnier after the announcement of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker at E3 a few months later, which Vinny acknowledged in a comment on the video in question.
  • This Super Mario Bros. corruption has a scene where Vinny hits a block and a Koopa pops out of it (at around 0:21). This is now possible in Super Mario Maker.
  • During Vinny's sixth Kirby: Triple Deluxe stream, he asks people in the chat to come up with new Copy Abilities, with one of the first non-joke suggestions being Psychic. An ability featuring psychic powers ended up appearing in Kirby: Planet Robobot two years later, though it's called ESP and not Psychic.
  • In his Half-Life 2 stream, he made a joke about how Half Life 3 is just going to be a 3D weapons skins viewer. Considering that Half-Life: Alyx is a VR game, where you can fully inspect all the weapons you hold, this isn’t entirely inaccurate.
  • While doing a corruption stream of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Vinny joked that the crazy glitches were the result of the game taking place in a post-apocalyptic setting where Ganon has taken over Hyrule. This ended up being exactly what The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, announced a few years later, was about.
  • Several years ago, Vinny streamed a Super Mario Bros.-centric Skyrim mod. In 2017, it was announced that Skyrim was going to be ported to the Nintendo Switch, complete with several bonus Zelda items, which Vinny decided to do multiple streams on.
  • During the initial reveal of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Vinny made a joke about Banjo and Kazooie joining the roster. Fast forward to E3 2019, when it would be revealed that Banjo would in fact be a DLC fighter, much to Vinny's joy.
  • During Vinny's 2016 playthrough of Super Metroid, he expressed his wishes for a new Metroid game. In addition, during the first part of the stream, while looking through chat for videos on sequence-breaking, he accidentally said "ice missiles" instead of "ice beam". Come October 8th 2021, and not only did Nintendo release a new Metroid game, Dread, but said Metroid game has ice missiles as an upgrade.
  • During the second part of 2017's Zelda II Randomizer stream, Vinny explains that the randomizer has an option to combine the Fire spell with another spell; in that seed, it was the Spell spell, which turns all onscreen enemies into blue slimes. Vinny then makes a comment that if Fire was combined with, say, the Fairy spell, it would be useless, as you can't cast fire as a fairy. Come next year's stream, and that's exactly what the Fire spell is combined with; it even takes Vinny a while to realize it.
  • A prominent Running Gag during Vinny's Animal Crossing: New Leaf playthrough was his hatred of Cherry for putting her house right in front of his and blocking it, eventually leading to him driving her out of town. Then the 2/20 Nintendo Direct for Animal Crossing: New Horizons showed off the new ability to control where your neighbors get to place their residences, using Cherry specifically.
  • At one point during Wario Land 4 Vinny brings up annoying fans who spam him with game requests, using Devil May Cry 2 as an example, and later talks about having one's reputation tied to the games before declaring that he will never become "Mr. DMC2" because he will never play it. A few months later he ends up playing a full (and very miserable) hour-and-a-half of DMC2 as part of a charity incentive, and by now is the source of the most famous memes associated with it.
  • Self-acknowledged example in the The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Randomized streams, where Vinny discusses his propensity for Tingle-related age jokes in older streams, and the irony of him playing that very game on his 35th birthday when he would become the same age as Tingle.
  • Just days prior to the reveal of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Vinny had a lengthy discussion about the original game and some ideas on what other Nintendo franchises could fit into the Warriors structure, if not all of them like in Super Smash Bros.. After the game was announced, he immediately mentioned how he was just talking about it but insists he had nothing to do with the announcement.
  • One of the nicknames Vinny received after streaming Besiege was Da VineCi, since the goal of the game was to build various contraptions. During his streams of Final Fantasy VI he mentions that the name Da Vinci has held bad connotations for him ever since an incident where he was shown a terrible porn parody of The Da Vinci Code, meaning that the fans have been accidentally reminding him of this the entire time.
  • Happened twice as a result of the 2/9/2022 Nintendo Direct. Right around the end of January Vinny started a playthrough of Wii Sports Resort, a decision he admitted was a spontaneous one after having completely forgotten about the game for years, only for Nintendo to announce a brand new sequel to the largely-dormant Wii Sports series a few weeks later, leading many fans to joke that Vinny was responsible for summoning the sequel into existence. Likewise, Vinny also noted the hilarity of the timing around his having participated in a Mario Kart 8 tournament which aired the very day before Nintendo announced a new wave of DLC for the game.
  • During Vinny's stream of the SAGE 2019 demo for Pizza Tower (a game highly inspired by the Wario Land series), he reads a chat comment asking him if he's played Wario Land: Shake It!, to which he mentions that game was on his to-do list. He also predicts that the full version of the game will release on a January. Sure enough, Vinny was completely correct, as Pizza Tower would come out on January 26th, 2023. Even funnier, that was coincidentally the exact same day Vinny finally decided to play Shake It, a fact that became a Running Gag in his later Pizza Tower streams.
  • In one stream, someone in chat said that they fantasized about eating Goombas. A few months later, the Super Mario Bros. Wonder Direct featured a talking flower that mentioned wondering what Goombas taste like.
  • In Corruption Stockpile #50, one Metal Gear Solid 3 corruption has Snake's head stretching out of a toilet bowl. This was a few months before the Skibidi Toilet Series made its debut.
  • During one of his Super Mario Odyssey streams (from 2017), Vinny bought a plush frog hat from one of the Crazy Cap stores, and stated that Vinesauce frogs will come out in 2024. Lo and behold, Vinesauce frogs did indeed come out in 2024.

    Joel
  • Joel jokes about how Dong Dong Never Die needs to be at EVO. Then EVO 2014 included it.
  • One of Joel's M.U.G.E.N streams involves Master Hand fighting on Ryu's stage from Street Fighter II. Not long after, Ryu was confirmed as DLC for Smash Bros. In the same stream, he jokes how characters like Sephiroth could make it into Smash. Come November 12, 2015, and Cloud storms his way into Smash.
    • Fast forward to December of 2020 and Sephiroth has joined Ultimate's roster as well.
  • In his Randomized Pokémon stream, Joel found a Sandslash that knew Blizzard and dubbed it "Snowslash". Then Pokémon Sun and Moon came along and revealed that Sandslash obtained in those games (as opposed to being transferred from previous games) would be part Ice-type (their other type being Steel).
  • Pokémon Vietnamese Crystal features an infamous scene in which the rival goes on a tirade about how he's disgusted by "the trashy man" and considers being "trashy" to be an unforgivable sin. It would later be streamed by Joel, who's part of a group of streamers with a known obsession with trash and the Trash Man.
  • In Joel's "Ultra-Fast NES" stream, one of the effects of the titular hack causes The Legend of Zelda's Link to attack rapidly, which Joel likens it to a "chainsaw sword" and jokingly hopes that it will make an appearance in a new Zelda game. Cue The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and its Ancient Bladesaw, which is the closest thing to a "chainsaw sword".
  • During a Genocide Run stream, Joel paused to talk about a Screwattack video involving Jotaro fighting Kenshiro, ranting about how Kenshiro should have won. Two things: A) The video in question was a 1 Minute Melee, which prides itself on doing matchups with no research, meaning Joel got mad for no real reason, and B) said match-up was March 2018's DEATH BATTLE!, and Kenshiro did in fact win and Joel liked it.
  • It happens again in a later DMC2 stream, with Super Mario Maker 2 being announced in a Nintendo Direct not even a month after Joel brings it up, with slopes from Super Mario World too!
Joel: What if they made like, Mario Maker for the Switch, and added slopes from [Super Mario] World?
  • Joel's Mortal Kombat Chaotic stream prominently features a giant cat-man named Pantherk, and one of the throwaway jokes is saying that he'll be in Mortal Kombat 11. MK11 actually gives a character (Kotal Kahn) the ability to turn into what resembles a panther.
  • In Joel's "Shitty Doom Wads" stream, he makes a remark about how he thought that the "Extreme Weapons Pack" note  would be a mod that would give the player a "super shotgun with sixteen pipes". Flash forward to February of 2020, when the Russian Overkill was finished. Included in the final release of the mod was a quadruple barreled shotgun. What is the secondary fire for said shotgun? Doomguy pulling out Four quadruple barreled shotguns.
  • In his Yume Nikki stream, Joel mentions how his parents dreamed the same red man, then while watching The Phantom Menace for the first time remarking how similar he looked to Darth Maul. The very first effect in the game Joel finds is the Oni effect, which gives Madotsuki red skin and horns, just like the "red man".
  • During the Hard Time stream where Bulk Bogan is introduced, Joel (in-character as Bogan) mentions how the characters' hands look like sausages. This was years before Everything Everywhere All at Once would have an Alternate Universe where people have hotdogs for fingers.
  • During his playthrough of Shadow President, Joel decides to fire nuclear missiles at Norway purely because of the rivalry between Norwegians and Swedes, playing it for Black Comedy. Just over nine years later, Sweden would accidentally fire a research rocket into Norway when it malfunctioned mid-launch, inspiring a number of humorous comparisons from Vinesauce fans and even Mike (fortunately, unlike in Joel's stream, nobody was harmed).
  • During his Windows 8 Destruction, Joel brought up how the title of the Snoop Dogg song "Gin and Juice" sounds like a television show for children, and proceeded to make up a song on the spot for it. Much latter, Snoop Dogg would have an actual children's show on YouTube.

    Other Streamers
  • Rev's HotStart album parodies vaporwave by making music out of dishwasher noises. Ridiculous concept, right? Except that someone actually did make a song featuring washing machine sounds, uploaded about a month after the stream where Rev came up with the idea. Rev noticed, and made this comment on the video:
Revscarecrow: I did this as a joke with the album "BeesMcBees - HotStart" like a year ago... and yet here we are.
