Chapter 1
- Akira, who was miserable at his job, only found joy from how nice his coworkers try to be for him and his crush on Saori. Akira doesn't even care if Saori is their chairman’s mistress, as he fell for her kind and nice personality.
- Just the pure joy on Akira’s face when he realizes, for the first time in three years, he doesn't have to go to his dead-end job, returning him back to his joyful self he once was before working.
- Despite loving the new environment he finds himself in, Akira makes sure his neighbors, the Kousaka, are fine and even offers to pick up some stuff for them as he’s going out on a hunt.
- What does Akira does with his free time for the first time in three years? Confess his love for Saori. Shame that she turned into a zombie though.
Chapter 2
- As Akira starts his bucket list, there are three things he really wants to do: meet up with his parents, make up with his best friend, and find true love.
Chapter 3
- Despite the two not having talked to each other for quite some time due to their argument at their last meetup, Akira wanted to reunite with Kencho; not only to apologize for how he treated him, but also to make sure he was okay during the chaos.
- Following suit, Kencho also apologizes, as he was faking being happy at his job. Realizing he was forced to ruin other people’s happiness, he reflects that all he ever wanted to be is a comedian. Akira told him he can still do that, even during the Zombie Apocalypse.
- The two friends make up and drink beers together after surviving the zombie attack.
Chapter 12
- Beatrix finally trying sushi she’s been craving ever since she came to Japan. To her delight, it’s better than she had imagine.
- The sushi chef is overjoyed to hear the group praising his work and glad he kept his shop open.
Chapter 13
- While it starts off as awkward, Shizuka realizes Akira is more interested in bathing in the hot spring than seeing her naked, letting him stick around, albeit behind a rock.
- Shizuka apologizes about what she said about love and admits she would love to meet a guy who’s honest like Akira.
Chapter 21
- Kumano making a grand return to save everyone as thanks for Akira helping him.
- Teruo telling his son he's proud of him.
Chapter 31
- Akira and Kencho reuniting with their college friend Takemina.
Chapter 35
- Despite being offered to become the new canning chief, Takemina decides to join traveling with his friends around the country.
Chapter 45
- After Tsuru and Izuna are saved, Akira hands Tsuru back the journal he left on the island, saying he and his friends are here to help achieve his goal. Tsuru then starts crying, realizing his hope wasn't in vain after all.
Chapter 57
- Cornered by the zombies, Akira and Shizuka confess their love for each other before kissing.
Side Material
- A bonus chapter reveals that the Kosakas, whom Akira thought were killed when he saw their empty, bloody apartment, actually survived and fought their way through the hordes to a safe place. After reaffirming their love for each other, they decide to live their best life and travel like they always wanted because they were inspired by Akira's cheerful attitude. They even declare that if they ever encounter Akira again they'd like to invite him along in their travels!
