Episode 1

  • Just the fact that Inuyasha and Kagome had a daughter is enough to warm any fans' hearts, added to Moroha being a perfect and hilarious blend of them both. It also appears that she is wearing her dad's very own Fire Rat robe (that she may or may not be aware of herself) implying her father gave it to her for protection before he disappeared somewhere.
  • It's also pretty heartwarming that Sesshomaru himself had twin daughters, where Towa inherited his white hair and Setsuna most of his personality.

Episode 2

  • Blink and you’ll miss it, but that clamshell of rouge that Moroha had originally belonged to Inuyasha’s mother, and was likely gifted to Moroha from her mother Kagome.
  • Towa and Setsuna's bond from the start, while brief, is incredibly precious. It's no wonder Towa becomes so motivated to help Setsuna get her memories back when they meet each other again.
  • Sota proves to have grown up into an incredibly considerate young man when we see his meeting with Towa. He offers to help her, quickly picks up on her situation, and while he's not able to help her find her sister yet, he takes her in and adopts her as his own kid despite knowing she has demon blood in her. Judging from how Towa grows up, he is a fantastic father to both her and Mei. Kagome's younger brother has clearly become just as kind as his sister with age.

Episode 3

  • Sesshomaru is shown flying at a more gentle pace than his usual quicker pace due to holding his infant daughters. Even someone as aloof as Sesshomaru has shown to be a gentle father.
  • Sesshomaru has not been seen in over 14 years, but Kohaku still holds him in high regard.

Episode 4

  • Moroha quickly bonds with Grandpa Higurashi, and unlike her mother, she appreciates his gift of a kappa's foot, which makes him cry Tears of Joy.
  • Setsuna learns the violin and enjoys it enough to actually smile when Moe allows her to keep it.
  • Sota and Towa's relationship. While the latter feels like she owes the former a debt for taking her in and being such a troublemaker, Sota dismisses all these worries. He also says that he's been preparing for her eventual return to the Feudal Era and telling her that it's okay, which causes her to hug him and call him her "Papa" instead of the usual "Sota papa" she uses.

Episode 5

  • Setsuna proves to be a lot more of a Jerk with a Heart of Gold than her dad does by smiling quite a bit more throughout this episode. In spite of her annoyance with Towa, she still warns her about her being too nice against her enemies, she considers Moroha a friend and is impressed with her quarter-demon powers, and she gives a rather happy reaction to hearing that Kirara will be joining her on her mission.
    • Speaking of Kirara, the fact that she is back and as willing to help the new generation of heroes as she was with the older cast is a testament to just how loyal and helpful she is.
  • Moroha has clearly inherited her mother's kindness to those she considers her friends. While mischievous, she addresses people like Kaede and Myoga with a friendly tone, and is more than willing to help search for the dream butterfly with Towa and Setsuna as compensation for their help dealing with her bounty.
  • Towa, in spite of her tendency to get into fights in the modern era, actually tries to reason and be peaceful with Tokotsu and his son after hearing what happened between them and Moroha, even after they have hurt many other innocents. Sure it might not be the smartest move given where she is, but it is nice to know that she has learned to try and settle things without violence from her time with her adoptive family. She even gives a respectful R.I.P. to the two after they are slain. Her papa Sota would be proud.
  • Miroku's brief cameo. Setsuna explains that he is the one who gave her the advice about dealing with her enemies that she told Towa. It seems that while something is likely keeping them away the former heroes may yet be watching over the new heroes after all.

Episode 6

  • The trio meets a little girl whose parents have abandoned her due to being under the control of demon cats. They give her several modern-day snacks like Pocky and she eats them with gusto.

Episode 7

  • Towa's dream shows her and Setsuna back in the modern era, acting like normals girls out shopping. Not only that, Towa offers to pay for everything they've bought once Setsuna asks if they got too much. Culminates in them both snuggling up to a giant cat plush toy and Setsuna promptly falling asleep.
  • Minor one, but when a tied up Towa is able to activate her powers to alert Setsuna and Moroha to both her location, as well as that of the real body of the demon bear the latter two are fighting, there's a clear look of joy and even pride in Setsuna's face, showing that, as much as she denies it, she does feel a bond with her sister.

Episode 8

  • Of all those who've been put to sleep by Yotsume, it's Towa that Setsuna is worried about the most. In addition, while she just props Moroha up against a rock and tosses Takechiyo on top of her, she gently lays Towa down using her backpack as a pillow.

Episode 9

  • Meioju clearly loves his son, his last words before being killed were telling him to flee for his own safety, and when Towa pumping yoki into the armor Konton made from his shell awakens his spirit, he is nothing but supportive.

Episode 10

  • Despite their conflict, Ginka still tries to save Kinka from Joka.

Episode 11

  • Setsuna playing the violin for the two children whose parents were eaten by the pond and their grandmother, who let the twins stay in their home for the night and even fed them.

Episode 12

  • Moroha doing her best to protect Towa when the new moon renders her fully human.

Episode 13

  • Hisui and Miroku reconciling.
  • It's nice to see Miroku and Sango again and living out their lives, especially since it wasn't clear if they went with Inuyasha and Kagome when they disappeared.

Episode 14

  • While hilarious, the fact that Moroha still has Grandpa Higurashi's lucky kappa foot shows how much she loves her mother's side of the family. Moroha even calls it something that she can't live without.

Episode 15

  • This episode confirms both that Rin is Towa and Setsuna's mother and that she and Sesshomaru were actually married. She loved her daughters so dearly, having named them herself and was really happy when Sesshomaru showed up after their birth but was understandably heartbroken seeing him take the babies away for their own safety.
  • It also confirms that both Inuyasha and Kagome are still alive, with Sesshomaru keeping them in the black pearl. Whether or not he intended to spare them is yet to be seen as he trapped the both of them under the pretense of needing Meido Zangetsuha for whatever reason.
  • Jaken showed a much softer and more protective side of himself than usual, reassuring Rin gently that he'd look after the twins for now, erecting a barrier to protect them from Zero, and promising Sesshomaru that he'd reunite Rin with the children as soon as possible.
  • We also learn that Hachi brought Moroha to Koga and in the flashback, we see him, Ayame and Yawaragi smiling warmly at baby!Moroha. Considering the fact that Koga was often at odds with Inuyasha and competed with him often over Kagome who ultimately chose to marry the latter, it's real nice to know that he allowed for their daughter to live with him and his people.

Episode 16

Episode 20

  • Jaken taking Setsuna to safety after the forest fire.
  • It's revealed what happened to Shiori from the original series: she founded a Hidden Elf Village where orphaned half-demons can grow to adulthood safely until they can fend for themselves, and she clearly acts as a big sister or even maternal figure to the children. Even when she sends Setsuna off, she tells her to let any troubled half-demon children know about the village, and Setsuna agrees. That's even why she brought Towa there and told her all of that.
  • Setsuna opening up about her past to Towa is heartwarming enough, but her qenuine laughter as Towa realizes Setsuna is poking fun at her shows that she's finally letting her guard down around her sister.
  • The episode ends with a shot of Shiori looking at Towa and Setsuna flying away on Kirara, clearly happy to see her again, even from a distance.

Episode 25

  • After Towa expends all her demon energy using the broken Tenseiga to bring Setsuna back to life, Sesshomaru shares a quiet moment with his daughters, cupping their faces as they sleep (or in Setsuna's case, come back to life).

Episode 26

  • While Setsuna once again goes off leaving Towa behind, this time she does it because she's worried about her older sister following Totosai's warning that the latter shouldn't fight with a human-made blade.
  • How the princesses defeat the monster of the week. Setsuna, using the power granted to her by her new naginata, recognizes the Red String of Fate binding the demon with the fisherman she loved. Instead of cutting the string, as she had initially thought she was supposed to do, she instead follows it (and the fisherman's voice) to find the fisherman's petrified body. Upon bringing it to the surface, the fisherman's spirit reveals that he had loved the demon back and that he was sorry for causing her death. This calms her rage causing her to revert to her previous form and seemingly move on to the next life.

Episode 37

  • Setsuna finally regaining her memories.

Episode 38

  • After 14 years, Moroha is FINALLY reunited with her parents with her and Kagome sharing a tearful embrace that leaves mother and daughter, along with Towa and Setsuna who are watching, crying Tears of Joy.

Episode 39

  • Moroha’s reunion with Inuyasha. The two initially start staring each other down, until Kagome and Towa urge them to say something to each other, which leaves them both blushing awkwardly. Kagome and Towa then nudge them closer together. Inuyasha happily lifts up Moroha, proudly noting that she’s put on some muscle, which makes her smile, easing the tension between them. After he puts her back down, he hugs her tightly as he tells her that he and Kagome thought about her every day. This is the moment Moroha breaks down sobbing in her father’s arms, and you can just tell he's fighting back tears as well. Kagome, Towa and Setsuna watch on, crying Tears of Joy.
Inuyasha: Moroha… Kagome and I talked about you every day… about how we would definitely see you someday. There was never a moment when you weren’t in our thoughts.
    • After they touch he doesn't stop touching her, holding her, or otherwise making physical contact with his daughter until towards the end of the episode even carrying her to the Lake of Two Heads. Its been fourteen years, he's not letting her go again.
  • Small one, but as she and Towa are witnessing Moroha's reunion with her parents, Setsuna begins crying and grabs her sister's hand, seeking comfort. The little smiles that they give each other really seals it.
  • There's also a cute moment with Kagome and Towa who shows her how her family has been doing in the modern world.
  • Its a small detail, but Inuyasha only wanting to beat the crap out of Sesshomaru, counts. Remember: they at one point wanted to murder each other. It says how far their relationship has come in the years since then.

Episode 40

  • When Towa is struggling to remove the embedded Tenseiga, both Setsuna and Moroha join in to combine their demon powers to help her. Also doubles as Moment of Awesome.
  • Upon leaving the Black Pearl, Inuyasha wants to get rid of it, but Kagome doesn't want to do that since it's where his father's grave is. Moroha decides to keep it within her rouge, that way her grandparents can remain together forever.
  • When Towa and Setsuna leave to save Sesshomaru, Moroha stays behind as she believes it's a family matter and she shouldn't interfere.
  • Rin finally reuniting with both her daughters.

Episode 41

  • Even though they want to spend as much time with the daughter they just got back, Inuyasha and Kagome know Moroha wants to help out her cousins and so let her go off with them, even covering for them as they fly off.

Episode 45

Sota: Towa... I think of you... as my actual daughter. I always have, and I always will. Towa, you will always be my daughter.

Episode 46

  • While they don't have time to catch up due to the situation, just seeing the old gang back together is nice.

Episode 47

  • The penultimate episode finally sees the daughters of Sesshomaru reunite with their mother and father, and unlike with previous times, there is no threat or complication ruining their reunion. The final credits scene also sees Inuyasha and Kagome with Moroha as well as Miroku and Sango with their family. After everything they've been through the entire cast, both old and new, finally earn their happy ending.
  • Not to leave out the villain, Kirinmaru finally apologizes to Rion with the two finally ascending to the afterlife. Sesshomaru could have slain Kirinmaru after defeating him, but wanted him and his daughter to reunite for one last moment together with Towa offering her body to allow Rion to speak to her father.

Episode 48

  • To finally help pay off Moroha's debt, Inuyasha, Kagome, and Moroha all got to slay a demon together and gather enough to pay off the rest of Moroha's debt.
  • The three half-demon princesses coming together in their yukata with Towa and Setsuna telling Moroha how much they care about her, with Moroha responding bashfully.
  • While Setsuna assumes that Hisui should go after the emperor's daughter, he was about to tell Setsuna that he likes her instead.
  • Moroha hugging her parents as she goes off with Towa and Setsuna to slay demons in the west.
  • Towa and Setsuna waving goodbye to their parents as they also head off, Sesshomaru looking with pride at his daughters.
