The protagonist tries to help CatNap, even after all the horrors the latter did upon him, and desperately urges him to not trust the Prototype. Remember, this is the same protagonist of the Garten of Banban episodes who faced monsters to rescue his kids and after learning that CatNap is really a child, his natural empathy as a parent is brought to the surface. Which makes this heartbreaking as he's Forced to Watch as the Prototype murders CatNap.
Later on, upon hearing Kissy Missy being attacked while taking the lift down to the Prototype, he's just as concerned for her safety as Poppy is.
What if Six talked in Little Nightmares
After the video, there's an outtake where Press Start lightheartedly chastises his daughter for laughing during a scene where she's supposed to be starving to death.
