Main Game

  • Bagley's can-do aggressive attitude when he's brought back online after the destruction of the "old" London DeadSec is quite invigorating.
  • Bagley displays a protective fatherly glee towards the Fake DedSec. Despite the fact they're blackmailers and cyberterrorists, he wants to adopt them and make them part of "real" DedSec, and even his usual ribbing comes across as gentle and almost affectionate.
Bagley: Their pathetic attempt at security was trying so hard, bless its little heart.
  • Speaking of Bagley and DedSec, all of the operatives are shown to care deeply about him even if his sense of humor sometimes annoys them, and will occasionally say something nice about him during missions.
"You will get used to the robot's funny way of talking. He has a good metal heart."
  • If you finish the 404 storyline playing as Wrench, he will offer Nowt somewhere to stay if she ever winds up in San Francisco and needs to couch-surf.
  • Sending Wrench to investigate Skye Larsen's lab under her house can include him remarking on the tombstone of Ada, Skye's childhood dog.
Wrench: Rest in peace, Ada. I never knew you, but I already love you.
  • The people celebrating the return of their national landmarks like Big Ben, the Eye, and King's Cross among others when DeadSec liberates a district. Westminster's liberation's especially heartwarming, as once Big Ben's liberated, it finally rings out on its own again, and continues to do so on the hour from that point on.
  • It's possible to find Dalton's relatives as randomly-generated citizens (proven by examining their profiles), and you can opt to save them or recruit them into your ranks to fight on in Dalton's stead.
  • Some of the missions where you rescue friends or save a person from slavery to their forces.
  • The "Finding Bagley" mission's equal parts this and Tear Jerker:
    • One of the memory fragments the player's tasked with finding shows Bradley (the human Bagley was based on) rowing his friend Arthur around the pond at Duck Cottage Island. Bradley's clearly ecstatic to be rowing again, seemingly free of his epilepsy thanks to Skye. It's then revealed that Arthur and Bradley have started a relationship, with them sharing a kiss at the end of the audio file.
    • The ending has Bagley speaking with the now-catatonic Bradley, who's able to register Bagley talking to him and smiles.
Bagley: You lived a life that I never could. You are a good person, and I am someone else. (beat) This has been an illuminating conversation. Thank you, Bradley. I'm glad I finally met you.
    • After the operative leaves the hospital, they ask Bagley if he would prefer to be called Bradley. He politely declines, reaffirming himself as separate from Bradley.
  • In the finale, Aiden's actually sympathetic and tries to talk Sabine down unlike everyone else who reacts with betrayal.

Bloodline

  • Angel works tirelessly to help the immigrants of London and people that are left behind by the system. He's easily one of the nicest people in the franchise.
  • Aiden willingly does a job for free to help some of the Resistance escape through a checkpoint. This despite charging more for extra help earlier.
  • It turns out one of the reason Jordi chooses Aiden for the London job is because he wanted to help Aiden to reunite with Jackson. Jordi might be an Ax-Crazy jerk but he's still Aiden's Only Friend and lives up to it.
    • When the game shifts to Wrench, Jodie is under the assumption that Wrench kidnaps Aiden and is ready to send a squad of Fixers to rescue Aiden until Wrench clarifies the misunderstanding.
  • Jackson going into Aiden's mind to wake him up, even after their tense relationship and reunion. He also tells Aiden to let go of his past, because he's still his uncle.
  • Despite not having contact with Marcus for a long time, Wrench never deleted any of the voice messages he got from his best friend, even one from over a year ago. By the end of the Main Story, Wrench decides to start speaking with him again.
    • Marcus even appears in the final Fixer Mission, where the duo helps finish the stunt work for a Jimmy Siska movie.
  • By the end of the DLC, both protagonists' situation have improved; Aiden's begins to leave his vigilante life and fix his relationship with Jackson, while Wrench plans to return to the States.
    • Aiden never really like Jordi (and with good reasons) but after final mission, he calls Jordi to thank him for helping him to reconnect with his nephew.
