  • Mitchell Modell of Modell's Sporting Goods discovered that the employee who was supposed to train him was good at customer service, despite being homeless, he promoted her to assistant manager, raised her salary by $14,000 per year (an increase of more than $1,200 per month), and wrote her a check for $250,000 while telling her through Manly Tears to move out of her homeless shelter that same night. On top of that, he arranges for her to have a financial advisor to safeguard against A Fool and His New Money Are Soon Parted.
  • The Epic Bosses episode showed that it wasn't just the bosses and the employees lives who were changed by the show. Subway executive Don Fertman admitted in his episode to having a drug and alcohol problem when he was younger and that he had been sober for over 25 years. After the show aired, Don was emailed by a man completely unrelated to Subway who had been sober only for a couple of weeks and was struggling, and found hope in Don's story that he could make it as well.
  • Sheldon Yellen, CEO of BELFOR, almost routinely revealed his identity to employees after hearing their hardships, as summarized here.
