• Seeing your island become a success, and a place where everyone is happy and well cared for can affect your feels.
• In the Modern Times campaign mission "The Truth Is Out There", Sunny pleaded to you not to torture a clone of Penultimo, stating that even if it wasn't actually him, she couldn't bear to see him hurt. This shows that whether or not she does reciprocate Penultimo's crush on her, she still respects and cares about him.
• In the first game, you can enact an edict that grants amnesty to any rebels willing to lay down their arms. When you do so, you're treated to an animation showing a soldier and a rebel embracing each other in reunion.
• In 6, one of the constitutional laws you can enact is "open marriage", which legalizes same-sex marriage in Tropico.
