  • What makes it better is that although he supported Nessie saving the mystery, he refused to tell Nessie, believing it's not his role. This shows that he won't use his power over Nessie to influence her decisions on matters that aren't about the show, giving her more freedom.
• How Cora and Nessie met. Cora saved Nessie from some assistants.
• Michiko agreeing to form a team

  Michiko:I am not samurai. I am Michiko. I am part of team.

• After seeing Cullum hit Michiko, the old samurai master allowed Michiko to call him "Cullum-kun", where just earlier, he told Michiko that it was disrespectful.
• Lord White telling Cora that he hired Andrew as an assistant for her, not to replace her.
  • What makes it better is that Lord White seemed to think that it was obvious that Andrew was hired as Cora's assistant, and was unaware of Andrew saying that he is Lord White's other assistant.
  • Also, at the end of the book, Lord White tells Cora that he'd be lost without her, and calling her her "Lady Friday".
• Cora and Nessie including Michiko, even though it is difficult to communicate with her due to limited English.
• The reason that they agreed to continue with the Friday Society is because they enjoyed working together as a team to solve the mystery, so they decide that they don't want it to be over.
