Season One
- After having to destroy the Solaris, Tao is cheered up by Esteban and Zia.
Season 2 and Beyond
- After Mendoza confirms that the Travelling Prophet was Estaban's father, Esteban is distraught over his father's presumed death. He runs away and contemplates being adopted, but soon realizes that his friends ARE his family..
- In Episode 2, the soldier who acted as the mole in the prison and later served as the liaison between Zares and the other soldiers, was ordered to kill some spies/hostages-turned-witnesses. As soon as his superiors left, he discharges his pistols into the air and quietly tell the witnesses (a father and daughter) to run and hide.
- in episode 26, after witnessing Zares kidnap his father, who he had just reunited with, Esteban breaks down crying, nearing a Heroic BSoD, wondering how he could possibly vanquish Zares alone, until Mendoza reminds him an important detail
- Season 3, Esteban is finally reunited with his father. Next, we see the freed slaves reuniting with their children. It was like watching the ending of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom all over again.
