Heartwarming / The Hindenburg (1975)

  • Earlier in the film the Countess took on the Card Sharp con men and beat them at their own game, utterly fleecing them and leaving them quite bitter and angry; yet when they bump into her again during the fiery exodus, they set aside their grudge without the slightest hesitation and help each other evacuate safely. Admittedly, that's simply how you'd hope people would act during a crisis; but in a Disaster Movie from The '70s you can't really take that for granted (nor, sadly, in Real Life).
  • The young porter is offered a tip to provide special accommodations for the Channings' dog during the landing but declines, saying he likes dogs and will do it for free.
  • After the Channings decline to finance Spah's act, they still have a nice civil talk with him about his family.
  • Spah and the Countess embracing their respective children (who were waiting on the ground) after surviving the crash is pretty moving.
  • The cops waiting on the ground to arrest the two cardsharps (whom they seem familiar with in a Worthy Opponent way) let them go after seeing them acting heroically during the crash.
