  • The Mel Brooks Number mocking the Third Reich, mostly due to the choreography.
There's a lot to be said for the Fuhrer
I just hope someone says it in time...
  • The 2015 DVD release, despite the subject matter, has some sense of humor to it; one DVD chapter is titled "The Passengers Set Sail That Day", and another is "A Tear Repair In The Air".
  • As the zeppelin passes over some icebergs, the passengers lament that they are too far away to take pictures. Then a tear in the gasbag causes the ship to descend closer to the ocean, with it barely being fixed in time to avoid a crash. The passengers remain oblivious and think the captain is deliberately descending to give them a better photo opportunity.
  • When a technician at the landing site asks if there's really a bomb scare, the way all of the reporters suddenly look at him in an oddly amusing way.
  • When the FBI visits the psychic who said the Hindenburg would blow up, she also confidently (albeit incorrectly) claims that Bette Davis will star in Gone with the Wind and the Duke of Windsor will never marry Wallis Simpson.
