Heartwarming / The Conjuring 2

• The Hodgson siblings standing up for their little brother Billy when he is bullied because of his speech impediment.
  • Later Billy trying to comfort his mother by offering her some biscuits when he overhears her crying to Peggy Nottingham about her fears for Janet.
• Similar to the sleepwalking scene with Andrea and Cindy in the first film, Margaret guiding Janet back into bed and pulling the covers over her when she is woken by Janet sitting up and crying in her sleep.
• The stories that Ed and Lorraine tell about themselves and each other to comfort Janet. Also, Ed's speech to the children about sticking together and watching out for each other to conquer the hauntings, just like they do against Billy's bullies.
• Ed singing Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love" to the Hodgson family and everyone in the room joining in, with the look on Lorraine's face making it very clear that she knows he's singing about her. Later on, Ed and Lorraine dancing together as the same song plays on a record player.
• The Hodgsons' neighbors doing their best to help the family cope with their home being invaded by spirits, even when they're far out of their depth. Once the Warrens have arrived they become almost like neighbors to the family as well — helping with mundane household repairs that Peggy has been too overwhelmed to tackle on her own, even scary stuff like the flooded basement.
• Ed giving Janet his crucifix, and telling her to pass it on to someone else in need when she grows up.
  Janet: I'm very lucky. You said one person could change everything. But...I've got two.
• In general, Ed and Lorraine's love for each other.
