  • In the US Season 2, the teams are tasked to come up with a recruiting ad campaign for the New York Police Department. The winning team, Mosaic, came up with a campaign ad and video asking the public the questions, "When was the last time you saved a life?", "When was the last time you were fearless?", and "When was the last time you made your family proud?" as their theme, showing the human side of the NYPD. The judge that show, Donny Deutch, gave them the win in a landslide, saying it wasn't even close (see below). Trump awarded Mosaic to watch their ad on the jumbo TVs in Times Square the next day (since they did the city of New York something wonderful, the city would return the favor). Mosaic was very touched and please on what their team leader did.
    • The team leader was a then-23-year-old, then-recent Harvard graduate named Andy Litinsky now known as Andy Dean. Although he wasn't that season's Apprentice, he was hired by Trump for several years as President of Trump Productions. He is currently a radio talk show host and political commentator. This also doubles as a Moment of Awesome as he fought for staying true to his vision (which went for the heart and emotion) instead of going with the more militaristic theme or a sexual theme that the rest of his team wanted to use in their ad (the other team actually did use the militaristic theme in their ad, which proceeded to bomb horribly as a result when Donny comment that their ad would 'scared half of New York as if they're in a police state').
  • In the US Season 4, After Randall Pinkett hears that his grandmother passed away during the first task, Trump has him stay behind after the boardroom session, and assures him that he (Trump) would fully understand if Randall chose to quit. Randall says that he'll stay, since it's what his gran would have wanted, and Trump then loans him a helicopter so that he can attend the funeral, and allows him time off from the second task to do so. Say what you will about Trump, but he can be a Benevolent Boss when he wants to be.
As well as this, Randall's team are all fully understanding when he has to leave for the funeral during the next task, and let him go with no hard feelings. And Randall later wins the series. Granny would be proud.
  • In the US Season 4, Rebecca Jarvis and Randal won the last pre-final episode. Their prize? To sail on the schooner Shearwater. But they wouldn't be alone: Randal's wife and Rebecca's boyfriend joined them.
  • In the US Celebrity Season 4, Gary Busey reveals in the boardroom session of Episode 3 that Marlee Matlin identified that he had a hearing problem (it transpired that brain surgery following his motorcycle accident in 1988 had contributed to him being legally deaf) and sent him to a doctor who built a pair of hearing aids for him that completely restored his hearing.
  • In the UK Season 6, the speech Lord Sugar gave Joanna Riley.
Lord Sugar: "Joanna, we all admire what you've done here, and I'm gonna give you...the best bit of advice, and you should take it. You don't like what you're doing at the moment. Get to like it and do more of it. (...) But you leave here with your head high, let me tell you that. You leave here with your head high, because you're a prime example of someone who's prepared to work hard and sling yourself into things. You've done very, very well. Joanna, I'm sorry to say...you're fired."
