  • Dewey's marriage proposal to Gale at the end. After all the two went through, it's a good capstone to the movie.
  • Sid's Not Afraid of You Anymore moment that the movie ends with.
  • It's ambiguous whether Cotton had any knowledge of Sidney's whereabouts or not, and if he'd tried to help, Ghostface might have still killed him. However, the fact Cotton didn't even consider trying to help Ghostface in exchange for his life is heartwarming. He kept his word about never doing anything to hurt Sidney.
  • It's very brief, but near the end, when Sid discovers Gale and Dewey tied up and goes to free them, she strokes Gale's hair in a reassuring gesture.
  • Not big moments, but considering they involve Gale, they're heartwarming. When she and Sidney meet again, they hug one another. And later in the mansion when she and Jennifer believe Roman has been killed, they run to find Dewey. If you look, the two are holding hands while they run to stick together. A nice gesture, considering the two women don't like one another. And when both run into Angelina, Gale warns her of danger, and tries to take her hand as well so the three of them can leave together. Angelina pulls away, and Gale goes after her, insisting she's not safe by herself.
    • And despite how nasty Angelina is to them, they still run after her when they hear her screaming. It's only when they realize that they can't help her that they turn back.
    • Even Angelina gets a moment of this, seeming to regret her earlier statement when (incorrectly thinking she's found a safe way out) she yells for Gale and Jennifer to come that way.
  • Jennifer letting Dewey stay on her property. Granted, she does have other motives (increasing her own protection and possibly having romantic interest in Dewey), and yes, she does get mad at him when the house gets blown up despite the security he was providing, but it was still nice enough in the first place.
  • The fact that Randy was concerned enough about his friends to leave them a tape of advice in case he didn't make it through Scream 2 is actually kind of touching, for all that his flippant tone sometimes obscures that fact. There's also a bittersweet feeling when he's doing The Tape Knew You Would Say That, causing his friends to chuckle sadly. After losing someone dear to them, especially Sidney, they're getting an unexpected chance to hear his jokes one last time.
  • Gale and Jennifer gradually becoming Fire-Forged Friends (or at least Vitriolic Best Buds) and working well as a team once they start investigating together.
  • Sidney holding Roman's hand, even after...everything.
  • The ending: Sidney notices her door is open, but unlike the rest of the movie where she was paranoid about Ghostface coming for her, she just smiles and leaves it as it is, finally moving on.
  • The fact that Sidney now works for a crisis center and takes phone calls from people who have been through (or are currently going through) traumatic events like her, listening to them and offering them help and resources. The start of the movie shows her taking a call from a woman whose boyfriend beats her, and treating her very kindly.
