• Corey's line to Lloyd at the party:
  Corey: You're such a great person, Lloyd. I'm a good person, but you are a great person.
• Diane and Lloyd's conversation when they finally have sex:

• The Nobody Thinks It Will Work from the end is heartwarming because of the confidence Lloyd has in Diane.
  Diane: Nobody thinks it will work, do they?
  Lloyd: No. You just described every great success story.
• A slightly fourth-wall breaking example also from the end of the movie, where Lloyd tells a scared-of-flying Diane "If anything happens it usually happens in the first five minutes of the flight. When you hear that smoking sign go ding you know everything's going to be okay." He then holds her hand as they watch the sign, assuring her "Any second now." Then we hear ding!, the screen goes black, and we know everything is going to be okay for them.
