"You already have, Clank."
As a Moments subpage, all spoilers are unmarked as per policy. You Have Been Warned.
  • A downplayed example in the scene on Orxon where Ratchet is horrified when he finds out that Drek is going as far as blowing up entire planets now, showing that even at his worst, he still has a conscience. Clank himself notes it by saying "You do care.", showing that even in spite of how badly Ratchet is treating him, he still hasn't lost faith that he'll come around. (Ratchet immediately tells him not to push it)
  • Ratchet immediately showing genuine concern for Clank's safety after he's struck by lightning on Oltanis and letting him sit out the level in their ship. After spending a big chunk of the game being a callous jerk to him and only realizing how petty he was when he sees Oltanis in ruins in the previous level, its relieving to see that Ratchet now considers Clank a real friend and is finally caring about someone other than himself.
  • Clank's reunion with his "mom" on Quartu.
Clank: I will try to make you proud, mom.
    Clank's Mom: You already have.
    • Not long after that is Ratchet finding out Veldin is due for destruction by the Blarg and chiding himself for taking this long before dealing with Drek. Clank is quite pleased to see Ratchet has completely come around for good.
Clank: This is the Ratchet I always knew was there.
  • The scene where they finally buy the R.Y.N.O. from the salesman. Not for getting the weapon itself mind you, gratifying as it is, but for Ratchet's actions in it. Clank earnestly announces to tell other people of the salesmans services, which prompts the creep to grab him in a chokehold and threaten him not to squeal. Cue Ratchet aiming the R.Y.N.O. right at him and warning him to back off ("Do I even need to say it?"). The salesman immediately drops Clank and flees. Considering the side quest is clearly meant to be finished late in the game at the very least, it shows once again that Ratchet cares for Clank and will not allow harm to come to him.
  • The ending. Clank saves Ratchet from falling to his death twice. The real topper is that Ratchet blows off Clank's broken arm and walks off, making Clank believe he's being abandoned—he starts to walk off, dragging his limp arm, looks like one last time...and then Ratchet calls for him, runs up to him, and points out that they still need to fix Clank's arm, basically inviting him to live in his garage. They both walk off together, forever cementing a beautiful friendship.
