  • Despite his true nature as an unhinged Evil Prince, FU legitimately loves Damon as his friend. He returned exactly like he promised, and the very first thing he does after coming back to Earth and meeting him is to smile and scream how much he loves him… Unfortunately, Damon's love proves to be much more conditional than FU's, and it doesn't last long under the mistreatment.
  • It's a rather heartfelt feeling for many longtime fans to be back in Santa Destroy specifically the No More Heroes Motel where it is implied that Travis now owns it and his former enemies now friends like Bad Girl, Shinobu, and Badman (Up until his death) have become residents of the place as well.
  • The cutscenes between FU and his fellow alien 'superheroes' like having Boba with Gold Joe, having a wisdom lesson about honesty with Vanishing Point or eating Tonkatsu with Sniping Lee is something to feel some kind of warmth from FU as despite his attitude and how he really views them, he at least had some sort of a genuine bond with some of them especially promising to help Black Night Direction with his memory.
  • Just as Shinobu is about to be killed by FU after he ripped both of her arms off, Badman of all people comes in and saves her, landing a few good hits on FU. Even knowing that Shinobu is the self-proclaimed pupil to his daughter's killer, Badman does what he does best to force FU away from her, but it end up costing him his life in the process.
  • Despite Travis being annoyed by Badman from the events of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes, he has eventually come to see the latter as a friend and Worthy Opponent in the two years between Nowhere, Texas and Santa Destroy here. When FU has Badman in a death grip, Travis frantically demands FU to let him go. When FU crushes Badman's head in his hand anyway it causes a devastated Travis to having flashes of how he and Badman first met before being filled with rage towards FU.
    • A villain example is the whole reason for FU coming down and attacking Travis and his crew at the motel is to actually avenge the death of his buddy Mr. Blackhole despite earlier saying that his death was funny.
  • Travis trying to comfort a catatonic Bad Girl grieving over her father Badman's death and calling her by her real name, Charlotte, shows that despite that he couldn't really help much, Travis has grown to have compassion for those who were once his enemies. At one point, Charlotte is ready to join her father in the afterlife, but Travis tells her that she still has stuff to do in the land of the living. What makes this more sweet was that in the first game, Travis viewed Bad Girl as an irredeemable assassin and didn't hesitate to kill her, but come here he gets to see her in a sad vulnerable state and he probably must've heard her backstory that causes Travis to finally realize that Bad Girl for all her psychopathic bloodlust, is really a broken girl who lost the only family in her life and so comes to actually show empathy for her loss that he calls her by her real name as a way to show that she is a human being.
  • Travis showing concern for Shinobu after she had both of her arms ripped off by FU and hope for her recovery under Juvenile's watch, even trying to grab her hand for comfort before remembering she doesn't have hands at that point. Even though Travis never returned her feelings for him, he has come to view Shinobu as one of his friends. It's also revealed that he finally took Shinobu in as his student, which is something that he explicitly refused to do in the prior installment.
  • Travis meeting Kimmy Love previously Kimmy Howell. There's something to be said about Travis not only meeting his crazed #1 fan again, seeing her become a pop idol but having a brief, impromptu rap battle with her before fighting proper, even if Kimmy's just as insane as ever. Crosses over with awesome and funny! And though there is a tragic element to how it ends, there is something strangely heartwarming about Travis agreeing to fight her to the death, keeping his word from way back in Desperate Struggle that he would kill her only after she graduated.
  • Travis's camaraderie with Notorious, who saves Travis from Sniping Lee and helps him defeat Destroyman (again), after which the two share a Training Montage.
    • Compared to the other times Travis has had kills stolen from him (like Henry and Native Dancer have), his reaction to Notorious killing Sniping Lee is comparatively polite, which likely shows how much respect the assassin has for WWWWW heavyweight champions.
  • The cutscenes at Travis's couch are full of this especially when Bad Girl, Kamui, and Shinobu each join him and Bishop in separate cutscenes talking about their favorite movies and anime, showing that each person is genuinely seen as the most unusual True Companions to Travis to hang out with and talk to, a stark contrast to the antisocial otaku who lived alone in the first two games.
  • After stopping Velvet Chair Girl's pet Ohma, Travis decides to give her a Mercy Kill to end her suffering.
  • Just as Midori is about to die, she only requests to Travis that she spares her children (her disembodied hands, it's a long story) who pitifully cry out for their mommy. Travis freezes up as they remind him of his own children whom he's shown concerned for throughout the game. He even decides to give her a swift death until Kamui arrives and reveals that Midori is his girlfriend and that they honestly had no idea about FU's plans and thought this was like going to a barbecue. Due to his friendship with Kamui (and not wanting to kill another female), Travis spares her life. In fact, when Kamui asks if he can do anything to pay Travis back, Travis only asks for the two to hang out, nothing more, nothing less. Midori then becomes a part of Travis' True Companions crew as a result for his mercy.
    • This scene has another layer of sweetness to it if one is aware of Midori's Dark and Troubled Past in Red, Blue and Green; she suffered heavy amounts of bullying just because of her name, and was later tortured and nearly killed for trying to date one school's most popular boy, before being saved by Kosuke Kurumizawa. And even then she still managed to meet someone she could truly love like Kamui that puts into perspective just how much the poor girl had to suffer through to finally have a happy life.
    • Their end card has both of them as chibis holding onto one another.
    • Midori keeps mentioning how her boyfriend constantly talked about Travis, meaning that Travis's act of sparing Kamui back in Travis Strikes Again and calling him a true friend were sincere.
  • Travis shows respect for Sonic Juice and allows him to leave to protect his people. He's also horrified and shocked at how FU kills him without any remorse.
  • As Travis is jogging his way to take on FU, several of his companions old and new like Shinobu, Notorious, Kamui, Midori, and Native Dancer join alongside him to support and help. Hell, even Bad Girl, who overcame her depression, walks with her former enemy Travis and tells him that she has no beef with him. This just shows that Travis is not going alone in this fight. Indeed, each companion (minus Midori), ends up crippling FU to give Travis the chance to end the alien prince once and for all.
  • The funeral for Badman being held at the end of the game cross over as a Tear Jerker with Travis calling him not only by his last name, but as his buddy; and Bad Girl calling her father, her 'No More Hero'.
    • Before the latter which also crosses over as funny, Bad Girl confesses that she never got a chance to tell her father how his homeruns were always cool and that he would always buy her marble fudge ice cream after the game even though she wanted coffee flavor, but didn't say anything because he assumed that a little kid would want marble and appreciates the thought. The fact that Bad Girl remembers the memories of the moment she shared with her dad as a child despite how she turned out now is rather touching.
  • Similar to the aforementioned jogging scene, the final cutscene of the game, despite being incredibly out of left-field, is incredibly heartwarming when you see how far Travis has come. Travis starts off in the first game as an antisocial otaku with practically no friends or family, and is basically a Manchild with no direction in life. Here, Travis is literally surrounded with family (mostly from the future) and True Companions, and has more or less become a responsible adult who now uses his strength to save the world and those he cares about. And with one final looming threat ahead, Travis's journey is still not over, but he is not doing this alone.
    • Native Dancer revealing himself to be Scott Touchdown, Travis's grandson, who was absolutely happy and honored to be able to see his grandpa in his prime and even have a brawl with him. This makes the moment when he cries "Sweet!" when Travis is about to shout "Strawberry on the Shortcake" and Travis letting him rest to heal his wounds all the more heartwarming.
    • While Future!Jeane calls Travis out for not recognizing her and Hunter right away, it's clear that this generation of the Touchdown family is full of love, which is quite an improvement from Travis' past and the fact that they came to the past in order to prevent their father's death in the future is nothing short of sweet. Jeanne also shows that she's a loving mother when she praises Scott for a good job and she gives him a loving headpat. Scott even proudly calls her "Mommy"!
      • When they're first introduced Travis asks if Native Dancer's mommy ever taught him manners. It turns out that Native Dancer's mommy is Jeanne, which in hindsight, yes, she did raise him to be a good boy.
  • Travis asks questions to FU about if he knows what fear is, just like Holly Summers did when they first met. In a way, Travis was honoring her last request — to never forget her.
