  • In the Mouse Tales adaptation of Around the World in Eighty Days, when it appears Mickey, Minnie and Goofy didn't make it in time, Mickey decides to help his friends by telling Minnie to go to the dance without him and Goofy to pawn his watch for cash. The two of them refuse his offers and tell him that their friendship is more important.
Goofy: I'm your friend, Mickey, and that don't cost you a penny.
Minnie: And I love you, not your money.
  • The ending to "Donald's Failed Fourth". Donald fails completely in setting up a spot for himself and Daisy to watch the fireworks, but Daisy still loves him and likes how the way he arranged their seats allows them to see the moon.
  • "Donald's Valentine Dollar" has Donald attempt to use a dollar to buy a cheap present for Daisy. He spends most of the short trying to get his dollar back when it blows away in the wind. Unfortunately, the present is sold out by the time he gets his dollar back, but the short ends with Daisy approaching a sad Donald on a bench and revealing that she bought the present for him.
  • "Mickey's Mistake": When stumbling upon a wallet full of cash on a sidewalk, Mickey decides to buy a sparkling bow for Minnie, and upon finding out that the wallet from earlier was supposed to be Minnie's donation for the orphanage, he desperately tries to get the bow back from his girlfriend so he could resell it and get the money back. After several attempts, he decides to come clean and tell the truth. Minnie however, knew of this and sold her bow in advance. When asked about it, she revealed that she only wanted to teach Mickey a lesson, but he doesn't mind and gives her a kiss in the cheek as the cartoon ends.
  • In "Mickey's Airplane Kit", Mickey wants to give Minnie something special during their date, and giving her flowers would be redundant. So he orders himself an Ajax Do-It-Yourself Airplane Kit and takes Minnie out on an airborne date together. However, the plane malfunctions since it is only a model plane and not an actual flying vessel, causing the mice to parachute down to safety. In the end, Mickey gives Minnie some flowers again and she declares them to be special, giving him a kiss in the cheek no matter how their date went.
