Legends Of Runeterra isn't all pithy jokes and tear inducing interactions. Some interactions really warm the heart.
- Nautilus, the grim Titan of the deep, is surprisingly well liked by the Coral Creatures, even being referred to as "Uncle Nautilus".
- Jinx's solo "campaign" has her trying to reach Vi for some fun - and because she'd found Vi's old stuffed animal and wanted to return it.
- The release of Norra as the game's first exclusive Champion brings unexpected closure to Yuumi's character arc.Yuumi: It's my Yordle! Oh, I missed you!
Norra: Oh, my dear cat! Let these eyes have a look at you! - Surprisingly, Aatrox has a few moments of genuine kindness amidst his apocalyptic intentions when it comes to most of his Darkin brethren (sans Xolaani). It's clear that he missed seeing his comrades following their horrifying imprisonment and cares for their safety, and it's also clear those same Darkin missed their respected general.Aatrox, seeing Joraal's shield I pray that time has mended you Captain.
Joraal: It waited in the dark... the Void...
Aatrox: Easy, captain. Your peace is at hand.Aatrox: Taarosh, did the coward try her tricks on you?
Taarosh: Yes, General, but old scars remember their lessons. - Tianna Crownguard is known for her extremely strict standards, still terrifies Garen himself a bit, and has no problem letting Luxanna know that she is The Unfavorite. We still get this exchange:Tianna: If only your sister were more like you.Garen: She will find her way.
- We finally get a glimpse into Ashe and Tryndamere's marriage, and it looks like a pretty happy one.Tryndamere: A life time of wandering brought me here.
Ashe: You're home now.
Tryndamere: I'd die a thousand times for you.
Ashe: Could you just stay alive instead? - Gwen and her associated Hallowed cards depict her coming across an opulent manor in the Shadow Isles, inhabited by Friendly Ghosts hosting a grand ball. She accepts their invitations and protects them from the Black Mist, showing that even in the Shadow Isles, not everything is doom and gloom.
- The Tortured Prodigy, from the earliest days of the game, was a young man so mindlessly obsessed with perfecting his magnum opus that even after the Ruination, he is still hopelessly shackled to it, eternally working on his composition. He later shows up at that very ball as the Redeemed Prodigy, having been cleansed of the Black Mist's corruption and shedding his mindless pursuit of perfection and finally seeming content.Striving for perfection was limiting, rigid. Perfection had no life; could not breathe. However, perfect imperfection—now, that was something to strive for.
