Heartwarming / Knocked Up

Go To

  • A worried Ben being told by his dad (played by Harold Ramis) that his unborn child is a blessing and that Ben himself is the best thing that ever happened to him.
    • As well as the fact that Ben, a pot-headed slacker, worries about his child taking drugs at too young an age. He may not seem like much, but he does have some principles.
    • Ben's dad is very supportive of him throughout the movie and is always there for him through his whole ordeal. This contrasts with Alison's mom who clearly has her own views of the situation, refusing to be supportive of what she views as a huge mistake.
  • Ben and Alison's relationship seems a little forced at times, but when you see that Alison keeps a photo of Ben at her work desk, you realise that he has grown on her.
  • After a talk with his dad, Ben decides to take responsibility for his life before the baby arrives, getting a job as a web designer and moving into his own place as well as preparing for the baby by putting together a nursery and reading baby books.
  • At the end of movie when everyone is seeing the baby. Hearing "Daughter" by Loudon Wainwright makes it way more heartwarming.
  • Ben and Pete's relationship in general. Even though they've known each other for just a short time, they have the most beautiful friendship in the whole movie!
