Per wiki policy, Spoilers Off applies here and all spoilers are unmarked. You Have Been Warned.

Episode 1/Chapter 1-2

  • It's clear to see that while Takahashi does care about getting his interviews about what life is like for demis in general, he's also very invested in the personal lives of his students and cares about helping them and doing right by them.

Episode 2/Chapter 4-5

  • Takahashi happily complies when Machi asks for a hug after expressing her loneliness.
  • After helping Machi with her... ahem, experiment, Takahashi appeals directly to the principal to allow an exception to the school's dress code so that she can wear a backpack, instead of having to tote around a bag in one hand and her head in the other. To his credit, the principal readily agrees.

Episode 4/Chapter 7-9

  • Yuki overhears some girls insulting her behind her back, which causes her to run to Takahashi. She asks if it's because she's a demi-human, and begins to wish she wasn't born one. Takahashi hugs her, assuring that it's okay that she's a demi.
  • Hikari overhears this, and goes to confront the girls bullying Yuki. How? By appealing to their humanity while simultaneously calling out their cowardice and hypocrisy.
    • At one point she even throws out an insult herself, then immediately and sincerely apologizes, saying that the remark had been unfair of her.
  • Then Yuki apologizes to the girls for Hikari's behavior but, after seeing how much damage they were really causing, the girls apologize instead for all the mean gossip.
    • In the anime, Yuki's apology was about herself sending the wrong message by distancing herself from others. After realizing what they were doing, the girls assure Yuki that they are the ones who should apologize.
  • Finally, Takahashi rewards Hikari for all her effort. It's impossible to not notice how proud he is of his student.
  • After everything, Hikari, exhausted from the confrontation, embraces her sister Himari, telling her not to ask about why

Episode 11

  • While the vice-principal's words about keeping the Demi-chans from becoming too dependent on any one person were directed at Takahashi, a group of students aware of the conversation take them to heart and begin discussing how they can better support the girls in their school lives.
  • The Demis send Takahashi a video to offer him his thanks for his support and to offer their own in turn. Hikari skips out of recording her own, but then finds Takahashi later to give him her thanks in person.

Episode 12

  • Takahashi offers Sakie a day to herself to spend with just the girls, so that her succubus powers don't affect anyone around her. Of course, it ultimately backfires thanks to Saki's attraction to Takahashi causing her to insist that he stays.(It also doesn't stop some pervy boys from peeking at the pool through a set of binoculars).
    • Despite the above, Takashi manages to keep his cool, even when Saki is dressed in a skimpy swimsuit.
  • Machi, being a dullahan, reveals that she can't be dropped in water due to her head being detached from her body. Takahashi offers to hold her head underwater, and Machi reluctantly agrees. After getting permission from Machi's parents, Takahashi takes her head and gently lowers it into the water. Machi feels uncomfortable at first until someone playfully pokes her cheek. She opens her eyes to find all of her friends are underwater with her, smiling at her. When she's brought up for air, she happily tells Takahashi how amazing the experience was.

Anime only

  • The Evolving Credits from episode 6. Previously, when the pop-up book of folklores arrives at the Yuki-onna page, we see a depressed Yuki walking across a house in a snowy background, looking at her hand. While at that episode onward, a more confident Yuki flips over that page to spring.
