  • The music that plays on the stage select menu of Virtual Frontiers mode is a slow piano rendition of Tsukumo Sana's "Astrogirl" called "A New Journey", While the background moves deeper into space with each new stage, the song becomes progressively more complex. In stage 3, you can hear not only Sana's voice as she sings the faint ghostly lyrics, but every holomem who has ever performed it.
hamslyx: Fun fact about this track! The vocals heard on stage 3 are not just Sana. I compiled every recording of the song I could find and layered them all together! So all the girls are singing at once here!
  • Shishiro Botan's Cosplays are essentially color schemes of all her fellow HoloFive genmates - which of course includes an unlockable Mano Aloe. Always Five indeed.
  • Also doubles as a Tear Jerker: the game is dedicated to the memory of YiYi, the Marketing Lead and Human Resource manager of the game. Neko TJ, a fellow member of the development team stopped by the comments of this video (wherein Kiara finds out about him) to explain who he was and how important his contributions were:
    Idol Showdown Art/UI dev here.
YiYi was a good friend since the very beginning of the project.
He was a Takodachi from Mexico who originally headed our marketing plans.
Without him, we wouldn't have gotten as big as we've gotten.
After he passed, we decided to move forward with his plans as a team and tried to match his vision to the best of our ability.
Thank you for your kind words, everyone.
  • Doubling as a Moment of Awesome, on 6th May 2023, when Calli was streaming the game with Watame, a glitch occurred early on with the lobby system, so they couldn't properly set up a match with each other. The devs were watching the stream, and posted in the chat that they had already starting looking into it. Within minutes, they rolled out a hotfix, which the pair quickly installed and showed firsthand that it worked, saving the stream.
  • During her first stream of the title Ollie showed off her role in Idol Showdown as the Collection manager, talking about how she'd been asked to provide voice lines for the game and how she'd agreed wholeheartedly. What she wasn't expecting was that the background music for the Collection was a remix of her song JOLLIE JOLLIE, and in fact didn't notice until a chat member asked if it was.
