This page contains unmarked spoilers. You Have Been Warned!

  • Laurie's relationship with Allyson. She goes to school to give her the money the podcasters bribed her with, Allyson calms her down when she has a panic attack, and Laurie is worried sick when Allyson doesn't return home immediately after, afraid that Michael has found her.
    • When Laurie makes it to dinner with her family after Michael's transfer, she at least tries to put on a normal front, cheerfully congratulating Allyson on her acceptance into the National Honor Society (as well as noting that she was in the NHS as well, practically the only time she refers to her past in a positive light.)
  • The motorist dad and his son clearly both love each other. They try to work out their differences with a serious conversation that, tragically, never gets to be finished.
    • The dad also has the reaction of seeing a bunch of mentally ill patients to have the uncharacteristic aversion of believing Insane Equals Violent—and goes to help.
      • It later turns out that the dad's beliefs were correct - it's briefly mentioned that except for Michael, the patients didn't harm anyone and were peacefully recaptured while doing innocuous things. Some of them are said to have been found chasing butterflies together.
  • Ray and Karen are pretty sweet. He's clearly a bit of a goof. In a serious scene after Laurie's breakdown at dinner, he reassures Karen that Laurie will be ok, and that it's not her job to save her (Karen is nearly in tears after talking about her childhood with Allyson).
  • In a perverse way, Michael reuniting with his old mask. The music slows down, everything slows down, and he spares a moment to simply look at it, brushing the chin with the pad of his thumb. When he finally has it on, his eyes remain closed and his hands remain clasped on the neck, looking as close to blissful as we've ever seen him. What exactly Michael gets out of killing might remain a mystery for the ages, but whatever the case, he belongs in that mask — and it seems he knows it.
  • Vicky telling Julian he's her favorite kid that she babysits, and him responding he likes her too. It makes her death at Michael's hands all the more sad.
    • Her final words to Julian are for him to save himself and run. Even with her own life at stake, Vicky’s top concern is for her charge to get to safety.
    • Despite earlier suggesting Vicky make Dave check the house for intruders, when Michael shows up for real, Julian tells Dave to run for it. And what does Dave do? Grab a kitchen knife and run upstairs to try and save Vicky. Despite seeming like a delinquent earlier in the film, the kid goes out like a hero.
  • After seeing Oscar's body and then Michael in front of her, Allyson flees and starts banging on doors begging for help. The first house gets no response but she gets one at the second. When Hawkins arrives to escort Allyson to her grandmother's, she's being comforted by the residents. A far cry from when Laurie attempted the same thing 40 years ago but was ignored, one house even turning off its porch light in response to her.
  • The long delayed dedication to Moustaphad Akkad at the start of the end credits. For those of you who don't know, this man is the reason we have this film; the Halloween story was originally to end with the first film. Sure, opinions on all the other films vary, but still, like many other film franchises, we've had some good times during the series' worst times.
